This is the only clip I'm seeing floating around on Twitter. How is this bad?

I literally can’t even tell what he’s trying to say in this clip. I’m not making fun, I probably agree with him on virtually every issue but this is very, very bad.

I'm watching a live stream where even Dems are conceding that this doesn't look good for John Fetterman.

I seem to recall that the right-wing argument in favor of Herschel Walker's debate performance was, "Nobody watches Senate debates." If I may, what changed?

This is what happens when a person with a communication impairment debates someone who has been memorizing lines and delivering them on TV for decades.

For the record - this isn't praise for Oz. He's coming across coldly and is reinforcing what many people don't like about him.

You think Fetterman is going to get a sympathy vote out of this debate?

Even if you think Fetterman is doing bad (he's not doing great, but he's doing OK) but Oz really isn't doing anything to help himself. He's still coming across as an out-of-touch bully.

TV is Oz’s territory, but he’s not doing as badly as I thought he would for a first general election debate

Fetterman is struggling with his speech because of his stroke, Oz is struggling with his speech because he has absolutely no familiarity with the issues or policy. Tough choice.

This debate feels like some bizarre, surreal amalgam of George W. Bush vs. Al Gore, Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton, Cenk Uygur vs. Christy Smith, and olawakandi vs. 2016.

It's amazing how Republicans were able to spin that braindead Walker won his debate when Fetterman is doing about the same.

Fetterman just melted on the stage with the fracking question, specifically his previous position conflicting with his current one.

No, I don't think that's really a thing.

That fracking question was rough for Fetterman.

The problem for Oz is that he's meeting exactly the bar people generally seemed to expect: well-spoken, but completely without humanity. Fetterman is struggling, but Oz is not helping himself either.

Ugh. Fetterman's response on the fracking shift was not great.

For the record, I don't think Walker did well and was one of those criticizing him, particularly his ill-advised "badge" moment. I'm someone who thinks neither Fetterman nor Walker should be in the Senate. Of course, for those who are very staunch partisans on the left, that's not what they like to hear.

It’s seems impossible to get objective feedback on the debate as the clips on Twitter seem fine for Fetterman and all the posters here saying it’s a disaster for him are pro-Oz or doomers

Did Oz say that half of all murders in Pennsylvania are committed by minors? I can't find anything about that online, did I mishear him?

And there it is. Oz has absolutely no comprehension of the issues or how to frame them so as to make him seem respectable and sympathetic to the people. He's just driving home the titanic negatives people associate with him.
