And there's the retweet from Fetterman.

Run with the story, find the man, and if he's alive, pay for his rehab. I expected the quack pills but I didn't expect him to feed a man's heroin addiction for views.

Oz's stunts won't go well with the rurals (who were hit hard by the opioid crisis) and the urban areas (who were hit hard and are still hit hard by the war on drugs).

Where there's smoke there is often fire. Oz shows himself as a man without principles in his quackery, so I'd be shocked if he wasn't capable of something like this.

TV ads might still be enough for dullards to vote for this guy.

I mean, and especially in the city. You have Oz literally coming for nothing but a photo op, including f**king picking up a needle in Kensington. That isn't "oh he's trying to understand", it's oh, of course Oz is trying to get a make a photo op out of him finding a needle in Kensington. Then him taking 3 addicts to god knows where for ANOTHER photo op, after he's been accused of doing the same thing and not following through? It's sick.

And I'm sure you'll get a few of the stragglers who will do the whole "look! he still can't talk right!" but to me, this totally endears Fetterman to people. Not only is he making fun of Oz's gaffe, but he's using humor to show he's recovering.

So called moderate Brian Fitzpatrick has endorsed Oz. Would be nice if the DCCC would put some money into his race.

That won't make a difference for Fitzpatrick. He could probably get away with endorsing Mastriano too.

Yeah, that seat sadly won't be competitive unless and until there's a blue wave on par with 2018 and maybe not even then (or he retires).

Honestly he's not even that old, his district has pretty neutral shifts, and is unlikely to dramatically change in redistricting unless Dems gain unilateral control of the process. He could def hold this seat for a while and his biggest threat may be a primary.

Oz's campaign continues to spiral. He has no other message so now he's dragging up tweets from May when Biden endorsed Fetterman and somehow connecting that to letting murderers out on the street

He's not lying. Oz keeps tweeting out articles from Washington Examiner, Breitbart, and FreeBeacon now multiple times a day (in addition to weirdly quoting old tweets from May like my post above)

So I just noticed that Oz has not led in a single poll post-primary.

A question to my Atlas research peeps: can anybody think of a candidate (for a statewide or federal seat) who has won despite never leading in a single poll (assuming more than one or two polls).

Susan Collins in 2020, although I think she was tied in one poll.

Another swing and a miss from Oz to try and make this campaign negative about Fetterman's health

Christine Whitman in 1993 did not lead in any post-primary polls and was tied in just one, I believe. Frank Lautenberg in 1982. Apologies for a New Jersey bias but these are just off the top of my head.

I think there have been a few more recent Senate races to which this applies. Collins was mentioned. It’s not all that uncommon historically and it used to be the mark of a true upset, rather than just beating the “polling aggregate.”

edit: There was one Whitman +1 poll after the primary.
