My prediction is that Biden will start with a 62-30 job approval rating in an average of the first 10 RCP or 538 polls.

I think that's too high.  His favorable ratings aren't even that high.

I'll go with a RCP range of 55-57%

Wrote this on the 21st January before a single poll was released.

10 polls are finally in now on RCP with gallup being the latest addition.

54.3%

Wasn't too far off.

I guess predictions will be how long it takes for his RCP average to go below 50%.

Took Obama till the 25th of November 2009.

Depends on when he starts passing controversial legislation (which could be pretty soon if Republicans go in on DC statehood), or if the economy doesn’t improve as quickly as people are hoping, or if the vaccine rollout sputters.

Most of the Republicans who would have approved of Biden during any potential honeymoon period are likely independents today.

WOW, Morning Consult/POLITICO has him at 62/33 this week. Nearly +30.

Despite what the pundit class is saying, people are liking what they're seeing so far.
Just...be quiet. You are literally a bloomer hack.

What the hell is a bloomer?

Opposite of a doomer, I assume. People who reflexively think everything will go well for Biden.

Just saying Trump has a 87% approval from Rs and they are Patriots in the South, they believe in strength I'm military and vets and Rs use the bully pulprit to project that strength

Did you mean “in military”? Or are you military? I need to plumb your depths.

The Miami Cubans don’t want any aid because it’s communism or whatever.

I never seen a non rosey scenario for Ds on pbower2A Approvals.

2016 he was wrong, 2020 was definitely wrong with high Approvals in MT that was the biggy right there and TX

Now these Approvals, he should come down on his Approvals, they aren't matching Election outcomes

Go off

The Corporate Press continues its assault on our Jobs President. His claim that the last year was the best for job growth in American history is only partly true because he didn't note that they started keeping record in 1939!

Can’t believe Biden forgot about our nation’s stunning recovery from the Panic of 1837, when we added one job for every man woman and child in America.

Probably a big reason why Biden's approvals are so low.

Progressives hate him, but they sure as hell aren't voting Republican.

They can very easily stay home, though.

It should pick up.

The performances of Democrats in the House and Senate are compatible with high-forties support.

See, I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. I think there are quite a few people who disapprove of Biden because he’s (according to them) ineffectual or weak, but don’t want Republicans in Congress.
