From Stephanie Saul @ NYT: Kelly Loeffler is only the second woman to serve as a senator from Georgia. The other, Rebecca Latimer Felton, served for one day in 1922.

Latimer Felton was racist too, but extremely so.

It’s kind of crazy how almost every post 2016 election has been great for Dems except for 2020-which was merely good.

Ironically, the biggest disappointment I can remember involved a candidate with the surname Ossoff. Maybe we'll get a redemption story tonight.

Actually, it was in some other southeastern Senate race.

Which one? There are two I can think of that qualify.

It was a pair of races actually, one between a Trumpy Gen-Xer and a black progressive, the other between a rich white boomer and a center-left establishment dude.

Both were also among the worst people to ever serve in the Senate.

Not a terrible record for Loeffler to retire as the second most accomplished female senator in Georgia history

30 minutes after polls close: "We are doomed!"

60 minutes after polls close: "We are gonna win!"

90 minutes after polls close: "We should all settle down"

What's the next blanket take on the schedule?

If that rich bitch loses tonight, I’ll bet my left testicle that she curses the poor rural people of Georgia that she pretend to praise and dress like

I think it is still very early... virtually nothing of exurban atlanta is in... and very little ED. Narrow advantage dems...but not a done deal by any means.

But... THE NEEDLE. You doubt THE NEEDLE?!?

Looks like McConnell is reaping what he sowed by blocking the $2,000 stimulus.

Now if the Republicans come back at the end after losing all night, is that election fraud?  can any board Republicans chime in?

The disappearance of the working class voter without Trump in the ballot is hilarious. Wonder how Republicans will sell the “working class party” narrative without Trump from now on when they are firmly against popular economic stuff like the $2000 stimulus.

Wasn’t Trump way ahead in Georgia around this time on Election Day?

Latimer was racist too, but extremely so.

And strangely enough, she was a suffragist as well, and was very adamant about it. Human nature certainly is something to reckon with.

79% supporting the $2000 stimulus.  The Democrats will have Trump to thank for this.

This time they processed all the early votes to be ready to count at poll close, which is why everything's coming in faster.
