https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/gov-hogan-vote-loeffler-perdue-to-uphold-moderation-and-compromise-in-the-us-senate

Hogan endorses Loeffler and Perdue and loses much of my respect

Also his justification is very lame

I guess he really wants to run for President and get 8% in the New Hampshire primary
Why would Larry Hogan endorse Qelly Loeffler and David "pray for Obama's death" Perdue?

Believe he thinks he's a viable 2024 candidate.
Rick Scott is trying to recruit Larry Hogan for Senate in 2022, so this might be why he endorsed the way he did.
That makes no sense. Chris Van Hollen can just point out endlessly how he endorsed David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler and that will turn away Democrats from crossing the line.

I'm not convinced people would care that much. Do most people in Maryland even know who Perdue and Loeffler are?

I think it would make more sense to tie him to Mitch McConnell, who people actually know.

Lol that's why I never endorsed Hogan he's not a moderate listen to his speech to the Reagan Foundation he's straight-up Reaganite I have my qualms with Phil Scott and Charlie Baker but they actually are the moderates they pretend to be Hogans trying to start building a national profile for his 2024 run which will go nowhere btw lol watch carefully he who campaigns for Loeffler and Perdue these people are all almost certainly planning a 2024 run. Ben Jealous is a FF and should have beat Hogan.
EDIT: Also this will get 0 people to vote for Loeffler or Perdue No one in Georgia knows or cares who Hogan is and who he endorses lol

Maybe people won't care but it certainly wouldn't help at all and it makes no sense that Rick Scott would want him to endorse.

He was never nearly as "moderate" as folk thought he was, but in his second term it's both amused and horrified me just how far he's gone off the deep end with no need to fight for an extended mandate.

And yet hundreds of thousands of Democrats voted for this guy when almost no Republicans will vote for any Democrat.

Meanwhile we unilaterally disarm and are complicit in our own screwing over, ridiculous.

And also, at least Hogan is consistent, he sticks to principles and he doesn't flip-flop like Ossoff does, especially on his support for expanding joint basing on the Department of Defense before he flip-flopped after it was revealed that such a move would have cost 26 000 jobs while weakening national security; and also flip-flopped on whether he supports defunding the police like he does now.

I mean, the average American voter is pretty naive frankly so this kind of stuff, as silly as it may look to us, could work.

It will be fun if D's win these races and Manchin breaks his pledge to get rid of legislative filibuster and allow comprehensive immigration reform or DC or PR Statehood. Politicians lie, and Manchin and Sinema don't want McConnell as MAJORITY Leader

If in not this term, D's can win it in 2022

Hogan endorsement of the Rs have no bearing on AA in this race, which will have a large turnout. Hogan won in MD by capturing AA vote which Perdue and Loeffler are incapable of

Hogan doesn't appeal to partisans he is an independent and Trump protests have turned off Indies in this race

Yes, because Clinton +42 and Clinton +20 states would totally send Republicans to the United States Senate and Laura Kelly, Andy Beshear, John Bel Edwards, Jared Golden, Sherrod Brown, etc. all don’t exist.

This talking point is pretty disingenuous.

It is clear that Dominion Voting Systems illegally transferred > 100K votes in Georgia from Trump to Biden.  And the same company is running the Senate runoff election, so encouraging Republican voter turnout would only increase the margin for the Democrat candidates.

The solution is to motivate Republicans to cast write-in votes for Daffyd Perdew and Kelli Leffler instead.  These votes would have to be counted manually, so there is no chance of voting machine shenanigans.

The only way to stop Obama/Biden socialism is to write-in Purdoo and LaFleur.

The Rs are playing a game here 908B without 1200 stimulus is silly and Barr just confirmed no widespread voter fraud and Trump is trying pardon himself, Guilliani and Don Jr, no wonder all three of them are trying to Crt install Trump back as Prez

I would like to see expression of MT Treasurer when Ds when both of these seats

Ugh. The red scare machine is in full swing.

My lord, Warnock doesn't even support M4A! This is a campaign focused on expanding ACA and rural jobs, it's hardly a bomb throwing lefty one.

And no doubt Warnock being a black man, a black preacher no less will fuel the red scare machine's menace.

This opinion writer 1. thinks that Qelly Loeffler is not too radical for Georgia voters, a talking point I've always found a little racist since it deligitimizes the votes of so many black residents of the third blackest state as well as overlooking Loeffler's radicalism, 2. thinks Virginia "leans blue," and 3. is a Lincoln Projectite hack who thought that Mike Pence should and could step up to handle COVID since Donald Trump wouldn't.
