If Hispanics shift in Arizona the way they've shifted in Florida and New Mexico, the state will once more be unwinnable for Democrats.

Hispanic! Are not! A monolith!

Ah yes, the first thing that comes to mind when the average voter thinks about Cindy McCain (besides whoever her daddy was) - that she's a "globalist".
Kari Lake is speaking from the mind of the typical Arizona swing voter.

You’re thinking of Meghan. Cindy is McCain’s mistress-turned-widow. Fun fact: They were set up by Jill Biden!
Ah. Good catch.
That makes it even worse. Calling McCain's widow a "globalist" and all, doesn't look good.

Also aren't here comments somewhat endorsing the idea of the patriarchy in politics (yet she's a woman running for Gov). Generally, you wouldn't refer to a woman, especially a conservative woman, as having "BDE"
Kari Lake wanted to praise DeSantis and Trump in some way and seems not to have thought through her remarks here.

Who actually has watched a non-presidential debate ever? Lolol

No one gives a sh**t. They’re more concerned whether it will rain tomorrow or if Bitcoin will go up.

I routinely watch local debates and even debates in foreign countries and different languages.

Then again, I'm also an Atlas nerd. Tongue
Atlas does have a history of overestimating how much voters care about most things.

As utterly deranged as her words are, I HATE how familiar and comforting her voice is.  My parents watched Fox 10 religiously, so I heard her voice every weekday while I was doing my homework and even later when I was visiting.  I keep expecting to hear about "record temps" or "Suns/Cards fever grips the Valley" and then this demonic crap spews out.

Ballots get mailed Oct 12, and AZ is a huge VBM state.  I really hope Hobbs can kick it into gear here.

To add on to this, there def is somewhat of a double-standard in politics where women, particularly attractive younger women of smaller stature are automatically perceived to be more moderate, caring, or just in touch than men. I think this is why a lot of the attacks that work against Mastriano, a big muscular bald dude, fall flat against Lake who falls into the aforementioned category.
I would say that, probably, most female candidates are net benificaries from gender-related double standards in politics.

Not sure it matters, but good. I disagree with Kinzinger on >90% of issues, this is the right call though.
Not turning people away is an important part of coalition building.

Seriously??

Almost two months to know the winner. Unbelievable.

Between Arizona and Pennsylvania, California ain't looking so bad now Wink
At least CA has the excuse of having a ton of votes to process.
