We can't just disenfranchise people just because their vote wasn't counted on election night. It's more important that we have people's votes counted than having a timely count, even though having both is important.
Trump wasn't wrong about wanting to have timely counts on Election Night, but having one this time would result in mass disenfranchisement.

Probably doesn't include Fulton net of 16k for Biden because the Fulton website uploaders went home for the night.
they did

WHAT
They are still counting and giving reporting to local media. I am fine with some web people not working a 20 hour day:

God damn how lazy are these people. “Yeah a Biden win here would be historic and could finally end this election, but I think I’ll just call it a night and upload the results later”.

Its actually hilarious how Dems start trashing Cubans as greedy trash once they decide to swing one way after they nearly voted for Clinton in 2016.  You do realize these are one of the most elastic groups of voters in atleast a relatively close state?
Why not try winning them instead of trashing them?
That's what Joe Biden will try to do.
Biden will probably do better with them in 2024 if he's running as an incumbent for a second term. Cubanos tend to swing towards the incumbent.

It's also a lot harder to say "Biden is literally the second coming of Fidel Castro" when 4 years of a Biden administration have come and gone and we haven't joined ALBA yet. If I were Biden, I'd just do what I did in 2020 in Florida in 2024 and hope for the W.

Fwiw, it isn't just Dade county Cubans. We really need to take a closer look at what happened in Osceola and Broward, which were also underperformances. Fla might just not have a workable demographic composition, especially if this education polarization is here to stay.

Huh, turns out a 1 million early vote advantage is better than a 600K one...

Seems to be a ton of ballots yet to be included in Atlanta per CNN. They're hard at work.

Key question: Atlanta specifically or the rest of Fulton? Because that matters a lot.

I worked a 16-hour shift as a poll commissioner yesterday. It’s absolutely exhausting. If these people have already been working all day, don’t call them lazy.

Isn't the rest of Fulton mostly black anyway? I really don't know now that I think about it, I feel like whenever we talk about Fulton it's always ATL lol

It would be pretty hilarious if the result ended up being 306-232, with four states (this time AZ, GA, PA, and WI) decided by 1.2% or less.

Biden probably does better in Pennsylvania than Wisconsin and Michigan.

Every instinct everyone had about this election was wrong, wow.

Hot take: in the end, COVID changed next to nothing.

Agreed. The pandemic only intensified partisan polarization and deepened the loyalty of Trump's base to him, while increasing the determination of the Democratic base to get him out. It's clear from these election results that this country is split virtually 50/50 between those who despise Trump and those who support him.

If by "50-50" you mean something like ~53ish-47ish, give or take, then you would be correct. In other words, one side of this polarized split is measurably bigger than the other.

This is exactly what I meant. And notice how I said virtually 50/50 in terms of the divide. The Democratic base is larger than the Republican base, but the Republican base is much more geographically widespread-hence, why the Electoral College has the bias that it does.

The biggest shifts weren't by region, race, age, or any of that.  It was education.  The GOP is quickly turning into the party of dummies.

And this is precisely why we got the result that we did. You wonder why Trump's supporters are so dead set against Democrats now? It's this kind of condescension that only intensifies their loyalty to him and to Republicans.

This country has tolerated stupidity, degeneracy, and mediocrity for too long. You can blame parents for that. You can blame the schools for that. You can blame the dog for that. But Trump is the logical conclusion to a "there is no such thing as right or wrong" society.

Watch the movie Idiocracy when you can. Some call it a documentary. I call it a horror film.

South Fulton yes. But if these ballots are coming out of Milton/Sandy Springs, the margin might not be there for Biden.

The rest of Fulton is a mish mosh. Suburbs to the south are mostly black and middle to upper class, those to the north mostly white and middle to upper class. Some of the cities north of Atlanta in Fulton county, like Sandy Springs and Alpharetta, swung strongly Biden.
