There are two kinds of people in the world: those who extrapolate from incomplete data sets.

In honor of exit polls dropping, what’s everyone’s favorite early exit polling numbers that were way off? First one that always comes to mind is the 2016 NY Dem primary where they had it 52-48.

Because of the partisan divide between mail-in voters and Election Day voters? This isn't hard.

Were there any efforts to include early in-person voters in these?

48% says covid is handled well, wtf???

I cannot get over this number.

That number should be 0%

We handled coronavirus worse than nearly every nation on EARTH.

You do know that Americans are really annoying and think they’re the best at everything, even when it’s obviously not the case, right? So this number tracks.

As an American myself, I will never understand this mindset.

Only 31% of Biden voters are voting for him because he's not Trump?

I thought it'd be higher

Who can extrapolate this from the 52/42 overall total for this question

Per CNN: Roughly 7 in 10 Trump backers say rebuilding the economy should be the nation's priority over containing the spread of the virus, while among Biden supporters, nearly 8 in 10 go the other way, saying that containing the coronavirus should be the bigger priority.

If the exit poll is done only on in person voters, of course it will underestimate how bad people think the coronavirus is.

To be clear, it isn't just in person voters.  They supplement the in person exits with a phone poll aimed at people who've already voted.  Though they could easily get the early / day of mix way off.

Attention doomers:

Go look at the Fox News exits. They are showing 55% nationwide think gun laws should be more strict and 39% think we should change to a government-run health care system. Only like 15% strongly opposed.

Either believe this, or realize you're dooming about literal GARBAGE data.

It's not a proper exit poll unless David Dimbleby reveals it after a build up of tension and music and then totally contradicts everyone's expectations

Biden Official says FLORIDA IS A TOUGH LIFT?

Doesn't square up with the data we're seeing, so I'm guessing it's to lower expectations

Exit polls do include early/absentee voters, I think through surveys.

I'm not sure how the composition/turnout affect them, but regardless early exits are useless anyway so who cares.

GA electorate for the exit poll: 60% white/40% nonwhite
37% R, 35% D

Wow, same as 2016 and 2018. The GOP had a +2 registration advantage in 2016 but they also had a +5 advantage in 2018.
