It’s possible that turnout will beat 2008, meaning it would be the highest since 1968. Will it crack 60%?

Turnout % will easily blow past 2008 at this point, now past the 1960s(before 18-21 years old can vote) would be interesting

There's quite a story to be told about respect for democracy that it's the Democratic officials voting to keep the polls open to address this problem while the Republican officials are opposed.

Edit: And in a county that usually votes Republican.

Guam update (61% partially reporting, 14k total votes): margin stays pretty consistent since last update at Biden 55.7, Trump 41.5.

Guam update (73% partially reporting, 19k total votes): marginal improvement for Biden to 55.8, Trump at 41.4.

This would explain Pennsylvania's low return rate and overall low vote compared to surrounding states. People saw what was going on and didn't want to chance it.

Im referring to the “campaign insider”. What data are they looking at that’s actually available and not for the most part worthless analyzing this early on lol.

Appears Guam has a similar pro-incumbent bias that Hawaii also has.

Got to love these anonymous "sources" cited on election day..

Happens every cycle.. wait until the actual results come in and see what happens.

Seeing these "ground game" reports out of Trump's camp reminds me of 2016, except this time it's in reverse. Hillary had this great ground game and Trump had a nonexistent one. However, in the end it didn't matter because Trump's message had won over the people he needed to win and they went to vote without someone badgering them to. This time Trump's campaign is the one that has to badger reluctant voters to go back and vote for him while Dem leaning voters hate Trump so much they will walk over glass to vote for Biden without prompting.

Trump probably needs to lose the FL NPA vote by no more than 5 points to have a shot. Lost them by 1.5 points in 2016.

Miami Dade results coming in

Stick a fork in Trump's dream of winning Florida

So the trend is similar to what I previously mentioned for Broward County. The vote count for Dems and NPAs is growing at a faster pace than for Reps.

Growth % in raw vote between reports
R +40%
D +49%
NPA +50%

North Carolina will keep 4 polling places open longer

Quote
The North Carolina State Board of Elections voted Tuesday to keep four polling places open longer because they opened late, which is expected to delay statewide reporting of results.

The longest extension was 45 minutes for a site in Sampson County. That means the state can’t publicly report any statewide results until 8:15 p.m.

The state’s more than 2,600 polling places are generally scheduled to close at 7:30 p.m. But state elections officials said in a news release last week that if hours are extended at any polls, they wouldn’t publicly post any results until all polls are closed. Board Chair Damon Circosta confirmed at the meeting Tuesday that the extended hours would delay public release of results.

The polling places that opened late include one site in Cabarrus County, one in Guilford County and two in Sampson County. The delays were at least partly due to issues with printers or other electronic equipment. The extensions, which only apply to the individual precincts and not other sites in those counties, range from 17 minutes to 45 minutes and match the extra time it took to get them open.
