PA is not a done deal yet.

I have just looked at the figures.

1.067 million postal ballots are left to count (they broke 78-21 Biden so far).

Biden gains a net 608.000 votes from those.

Trump is currently ahead by 440.000

So far, so good.

Biden wins by 168.000 in the end.

But 8% of PAs 8000+ Election Day precincts are also not counted yet.

Those account for an additional 338.000 votes.

Election Day votes went 66-33 Trump so far.

Trump nets 111.000 votes from those.

Biden still comes out 57.000 ahead, but there’s room for bigger movement.

Trump is ahead by less than 400K right now, not 440K.

Yes, but there are also less than 1 million postal ballots left now.

One goes hand in hand with the other.

There are over 1.3M postal ballots left. Can you check your facts before posting? That's 2/2 misstatements. We really don't need this.

There are less than 1 million postal ballots left.

Check the PA DOS dashboard.

It is not updated constantly. You need to remove the counted postal ballots from the „total issued“ number in the dashboard to get the actual number of ballots left !

I'm sure NYT is accounting for late ballots though. In Montco example, the # was fluid, where it went up today after going down bc I think they may have processed more ballots that they got since yesterday

Why does it matter if Biden wins?   He's going to be a do nothing lame duck with an R Senate and a 6-3 Supreme court.

Because Trump is an evil POS who deserves to be thrown out of office and looked into his legal conduct?

Also, Executive Orders are still a thing. It may sound naive, but Republicans in the senate and Biden must sit together and get at least some stuff done on criminal justice, infrastructure and economic recovery. Otherwise, frustration with the system will further increase and get the next populist in office. And this time, it may be someone who is smarter than Trump.

Meme map. What would even be the consensus here if Democrats win Georgia and the rust belt, but lose AZ/NV?

We lost a lot of Hispanic support (which is true).

Look at everything Trump has done by executive order. Biden can undo it. Plus Fauci and Wray won't be fired. Plus we'll be respected in the world again. Also probably don't have to worry about a possible war with Iran.

A government that does nothing sounds like a nice change of pace from whatever Trump's been doing.

Are you serious? It matters a lot - a president doesn’t need the Senate to get things done, e.g., rejoining the Paris agreement or implementing comprehensive environmental regulations.

The Trump people, right know, look like me when my football team is beating an European giant at the first minutes and I scream: Stop the game! Let the score be this. But, like everything it's only over until it's over.

Complete act of desperation by them.

So.. I'll ask again.

Do we actually know anything about when PA results are coming? They literally have barely budged all day. Given this entire race is.. hinging on it?

1) New cabinet

2) Undoing Trump's executive orders

3) No more Trump-appointed judges. Sure he'll still have to go through McConnell, but at least we can stop the bleeding.

4) No more spur-of-the-moment major military decisions or presidential decrees by tweet

5) We can at least start to rebuild our reputation abroad

A Republican Senate may actually help Biden govern in a more moderate way and enact sane Democratic policies supported by the majority of the people.

Delusional. McConnell is going to obstruct every single thing that Biden and Pelosi try to do for the next four years, regardless of how moderate and reasonable.

Polling notoriously misses on Hispanic voters.  This time it missed a dramatic surge for Trump.

Leftists are going to imply it's cringe that we're happy just to see Trump gone. What an insane misreading of the democratic base, which has been overwhelmingly disgusted with the man since day 1. The Titanic may still be headed towards a few icebergs but it is huge that we've likely replaced the captain.

Be happy and f**ck Twitter, as always.

I believe it's understood that PA will not finalize its count until Friday.

Democratic policies are popular and favored by the American people.

This is more than evidenced in that in over 30 years now, a Republican presidential candidate has won the most votes exactly one time.

I did err on CO/NM, where Biden has majorities.

Returns from PA look very promising for Biden. If this doesn’t change, neither NV nor AZ matters.

Hitting at least 290 or even 300 would be great, though. The more, the less likely it is Trump can pull some dirty tricks. Of course, he should have lost with the 413 map, but we have to take what we can get now.

Also if Breyer dies or needs to retire the Republicans can't fill the seat and make it 7-2.

At this point its much more about what Trump can't do anymore than what Biden can do. Squinting
