Since Trump's travel ban was upheld he absolutely could. And yes he should.

What would this entail? Americans aren’t allowed to go to Russia or Russians aren’t allowed in America? Or both?

No. It's an unnecessary escalation for no real reason.

Same as Trump's ban, Russian citizens aren't allowed in the US.

Even Pussy Riot is sick of Putin being used as a scapegoat for America's domestic politics.

They don’t have to be here to cause trouble. Then again, there’s already a travel ban in place.

The FSB agents would just use fake passports (hell, they could probably get a real Belarusian one). I don't like the idea of a travel ban but I would sanction the s*** out of Russia. And I'm talking crippling sanctions that make the Russian Empire during WWI look tame in comparison.

No. Travel bans are xenophobic and racist. In fact, Congress should not only repeal Trump's travel bans, but pass a new law taking away the President's ability to indefinitely ban travel from certain countries unless Congress approves within 30 days. Similar to the War Powers Act.

As fun as it would be to p**s off Russia and their ilk, I fail to see what this would accomplish.
I don’t see any real positives other than entertainment value, and way too many negatives.

Any individual that has even a remote connection to Putin and the Kremlin should have any western accounts frozen, then start working with European countries to top the import of Russian oil/natural gas (find a way to make it just as cheap to ship American or another friendly nation's oil/natural gas across the Atlantic, subsidize it if we must), isolate Putin when it comes to international diplomacy, and retaliate with cyber attacks of our own when they meddle in American/western elections. I would also be in favor of a full scale trade embargo—American businesses should not be allowed to do any business in Russia. If they do, they will no longer be permitted to operate on US soil. All of this would stay in place until 1) the Putin regime resigns/collapses/loses in legitimate elections and 2) all areas occupied by the Russian military outside of Russia's internationally recognized borders must return home unless the country they are in consents to their presence.

Russia is basically a spoiled toddler that keeps testing their parents to see how far they can go without any real consequences. There, obviously, can never be a hot war between the US and Russia, but I am happy to go full cold war with them again.

What a great idea! Let's immiserate poor Russian-American families, by forcing them to do sh** like this.

You should be ashamed. What kind of Christian would support this bull?

For the same reasons they visit just about any other country.

Absolutely yes, and it's not even remotely debatable. They have repeatedly attacked our elections (and continue to do so), placed bounties on the heads of our soldiers and there is evidence that they have murdered with impunity on our soil.

Saudi Arabia and North Korea should be included in the travel ban as well. Not a single one of the 60,000+ Saudi students who attend college in the U.S. every year should be allowed back in until the man who ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi is brought to justice. If the pampered princling doesn't want to take responsibility for himself, then there should no longer be a relationship between our countries that so disproportionately benefits the Saudis at our expense.

The people who have absolutely nothing to do with this and hate Putin and Russia's government as much as we do are the only people this would actually impact.

Banning the movement of people based solely on their nationality is pretty much the antithesis of "all liberal all the time."
