Back to the convention, I admire the diversity and African American outreach. They’re trying at least unlike Bush 2004.

Bush got 11% of the black vote. Trump will be lucky to get half of that this year.

Will Trump pee in a cup on national television tonight to prove he's drug free?

Let's watch.

David Dorn's kids (who I presume aren't his widow's kids) say that he wasn't a Trump supporter & that he wouldn't want his name associated with this convention. Pretty disgusting of the Trump campaign & his widow to use his death in this manner (which his kids don't approve of), but that's exactly who Trump is: a user.

He did 8% with zero work. He will do around 8-12 this time around.

It feels like there are almost more African American speakers this week than our convention last week.

Carson is sleep-walking through this speech about how the government shouldn't exist while dragging the media. It's just really striking how far we've slipped.

Hopefully he can outreach. I am concerned about the lack of African American enthusiasm with the Kamala Harris pick.

His widow is perfectly entitled to her own opinions.

But last week some Democrats on here said there were too many black people talking.

George W. Bush did 11% with little work. 8% is on the lower end of what Republicans have received and considering how racist Trump is he'll get less than 8% and nowhere near 12% (which is what fairly non-offensive Dole got).

solid was among those saying there was too much idpol, although with a charitable reading, I suppose they might not have meant black people.
