We'll see what happens with the rest of the nights, but the final #s are in for the broadcast nets (ABC/CBS/FOX) for the first 2 nights, and they were both under DNC:

DNC broadcast night 1: 6.7 million
RNC broadcast night 1: 5.2 million

DNC broadcast night 2: 6.7 million
RNC broadcast night 2: 6.1 million

These are just 3 broadcast nets, b/c RNC caught up to DNC overall on night 2. But what is interesting is that to me, the broadcast nets provide the most "regular" viewers (more political/in tuned junkies likely watch on cable), so RNC still trailing DNC in probably the "normie" viewers.

Ngl I'm just in total suspense for Trump's speech. So far, despite having to put this whole thing together on extremely short notice, the RNC hasn't had any obvious trainwrecks. But this is gonna be live & - well - it's gonna be Trump, so anything could still happen.

I'm expecting a very teleprompter-read speech and everyone who criticized Biden for being scripted will proclaim Trump to be "The Great Communicator".

I'll be watching AEW during the speech and catch any unscriptedness during the post-show coverage

But yes overall it has been a fairly unremarkable convention in both good and bad ways. I'm just not sure if that's what Trump and the GOP want or not.

Yeah, does anyone believe that JVD, who had been a Democrat his whole life, wanted to be a congresman his whole career, who endorsed Booker, voted for a $15 minimum wage, only voted with Trump 11% of the time and ran in 2018 on protecting the ACA suddenly had an epiphany and decided to be a Republican lol. It’s obvious he knew his career wad finished after voting against impeachment and switching parties was the only way to survive.

It’s sad that he thinks he can fool people.
