I will say, the last 20-30 minutes of this convention have been fantastic. Great job putting Bernie & Michelle as the final 2 speakers. I know folks are begging for the pomp & circumstance, but this feels much more captivating & personal.

I can see record donations this week based solely on the format. All that's missing is a phone number and a wall of celebrities accepting donations!

Okay, this is the first time that I truly loved Bernie. Getting the man with the image of a radical to introduce the term 'Authoritarianism' into the mainstream is genius, since it will quickly disseminate among the activist base. It makes sense given how the dems are branded as Socialists, so why not return the favor...especially when it is relevant. It is also straighter to the point, and less easier rebuffed, and more accurate than the term 'Fascist'' which is presently used by certain groups to describe the Trump administration.

Disagree. Loads of people just aren't going to care about "authoritarianism" if it seems too abstract to them, which - disappointingly - it does. The administration's grift will always be an easier target than the administration's authoritarianism.

What it really shows that there are a number of Republicans who are honest enough to admit that Trump is terrible. With the departure of more conservative, ancestral Democrats the party has a more liberal electorate. If anything the GOP is the same as it was then, but has simply allowed the radicals to become the face of the party.
