God, Amy's scripted.

Good line about the Bible, though.

Cuomo blows, but I do agree that the presentation was good for his bit. I hope he doesn’t run in 2024, doubt he’s going anywhere if he does though.

How would a Cuomo 2024 campaign even work? I'd have to assume Harris is the frontrunner assuming Biden wins this year. Unless Cuomo goes full #woke and runs from the Left, I don't seem him finding a lane to run in

I think New York Governor Andrew Cuomo would be better served staying in his state, and striving to become the longest-serving governor in New York history. He only has two more gubernatorial elections to get under his belt, and ten more years.

You think he should serve five terms??

That would be bad for the state, and probably bad for Cuomo's sanity probably (being Governor is one of the better jobs in American politics, but it takes a lot out of people)

Under Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry Truman, Democrats controlled the White House for twenty unbroken years, and I am sure New York will be alright after twenty years with Andrew Cuomo being at the helm.  Of course, it is ultimately up to Governor Cuomo and the voters of New York (and the New York Democratic Party) to decide if they want to keep the current arrangement to 2030.

Getting Cortez-Masto to talk about vote by mail makes so much sense, given her state, that I’m amazed it hadn’t occurred to me.

On reflection, it might have tone deaf to schedule Klobuchar so soon after the racial justice bit.

Quote
“I think both parties have to have new ideas, and I think this country is moderate,” said Kasich, winding up to a gentle criticism of Ocasio-Cortez. “People on the extreme, whether they're on the left or on the right, they get outsized publicity that tends to define their party. You know, I listen to people all the time make these statements, and because AOC gets outsized publicity doesn't mean she represents the Democratic Party. She's just a part, just some member of it. And it's on both sides, whether it's the Republicans or whether it's the Democrats.”

This is the mildest criticism of AOC I've ever seen.  It's not even a criticism.  But she looks for any opportunity to "clap back" and get Twitter likes.

Yeah and if AOC criticized Kasich instead, we'd hear about from 50 different people about how AOC isn't providing unity during a crucial moment during the convention.

Shout out to Jorge Luis Borges' Collected Fictions[/i.  One of my absolute favorites.  Great book to have on your bookshelf.

Can everyone get off their soapbox and stop talking about the AOC/Kasich "feud"? No one here gives a sh*t and I'm enjoying this thread much more without it

Klobuchar, the primary is over, you don't need to give your stump speech about Denmark and the Canadian version of Home Alone 2 anymore.

It's literally just General MacArthur. He should give Ben Shapiro a call someday and they can vent together.

This nation would be much better if we elected Kasich in 2016

You could replace Kasich with any other person in this country other than Trump and it would still be true.

Any bets on which of the 29 candidates won't feature?

So far we've had Booker, Gillibrand, Harris, Inslee, Klobuchar, Moulton, O'Rourke, Steyer and Yang. Buttigieg and Sanders are scheduled.

Seeing all these videos with Biden interacting with voters is heartwarming.  It's also a reminder that we never see Trump directly interacting with people, because he hates them.
