Would love to see a Trump supporter justify this.

I’m not surprised by this anymore. I’ve become numb to it at this point.

Imagine denigrating a Civil Rights icon who literally got beat bloody and hospitalized when marching for civil rights and then saying "Nobody has done more for Black Americans"...

Trump is cosmic levels stupid, self absorbed, and grandiose.

(checks notes) " socialism, abortion, antifa (pick at least one)".

Seriously though, none of them will even attempt to try. After all, John Lewis was one of those trained Marxists agitating for BLM.

Turns out, if you leave the Fox News bubble, you’ll be held accountable for your failures.

Not that he doesn’t try and lie his way out of it.

Please watch it all the way through. It’s stunningly bad.

Quote

Swan:  Oh, you're doing death as a proportion of cases.  I'm talking about death as a proportion of population.  That's where the U.S. is really bad.  Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.

President Trump:  You can't do that.

Swan:  Why can't I do that?

President Trump: You can't--you have to go by...you have to go by where...look.  Here is the United States.  You have go by the cases.  The cases are there.

...

President Trump:  You have to go by the number of cases.

Swan:  Well look at South Korea, for example.  Fifty-one million--

President Trump:  If--

Swan:  --population, three hundred deaths.  It's like...it's crazy--

President Trump:  --you don't know that.

Swan:  I do.

President Trump:  --you don't know that.

Swan:  --you think they're faking their statistics? An advanced country? South Korea?

President Trump:  Uhhh I won't get into that because I have a very good relationship with that country.  But you don't know that.  And they have spikes.  Look, here's one...here's one right here.

...

Swan: I think I [am reporting the data properly], but--

President Trump: If you take a look at this other chart.  Look.  This is our testing I believe.  Yeah, this is--

Swan: --yeah, we do more tests.

President Trump:  Well, wait a minute.  Well, don't we get credit for that? And because we do more tests, we have more cases.

This interview, especially the part when he tried to describe the graphs, was pure comedy.

Quote
Trump: (looking at the graph) "Right here ... United States is lowest in ... numerous categories. We're lower than ... the world--.

Swan: "Lower than the world?"

Imagine wanting (re-)elect this person as POTUS, let alone letting him leave the retirement home unsupervised.

Trump is incapable to run a hot dog stand and yet 40% of Americans think he does a good job as president.

Interviewer is the most sloppiest smuggest piece of shaite I have ever seen. Look at his facial expressisions, his smirks at his gotcha questions, and how he mumbles when POTUS speaks. Totally unprofessional. Trump needs to ban this guy from future interviews.

Also, the camera work sucks too.

Swan is an Australian journalist. Critical and provoking questions, as well as fact-checking, are totally normal in journalism in other western countries. If you had a British or a German interviewer, their styles would not differ very much. In fact, he very much reminds me of Andrew Neil.

Trump came across as a much more blithering fool in this interview than the Wallace interview. I am not sure how anyone can watch Trump's answers and determine that he is anything other than a total pretender and bullsh-t artist. He has no idea what he's doing.

Woodbury's favorite style of journalism is the North Korean.

This is the man Republicans want to champion.

The GOP cannot last much longer if they continue to parade on with candidates like this.

It is sad though that there isn't unanimous consensus anymore that Trump is a complete and utter fool, out of his depth, and flailing wildly amidst crisis. For all its flaws 80 years ago, and they are legion, American society would not have stood for a performance like this from its president. Now, these interviews function more as a Rorschach test for a huge chunk of America, rather than an alarm bell. I hope Democrats don't become tolerant of future bungling and idiocy just to "own the conservz".

I think Swan was unfailingly polite and respectful despite the president lacking skills we expect of 13 year olds.

He fundamentally doesn't understand how graphs work, and if that isn't a glaring red flag, no wonder his more crimes are ignored or accepted by his devout followers. This isn't even "elitism;" our president has less understanding of the world than most high school students and struggles with foundational knowledge we expect of anyone working any job that requires a GED or high school diploma.

And despite his ignorance, Replicans, especially those in the Senate, allow his ridiculously narrow view of the world and fundamental misunderstanding to dictate all of America's policies. It's reprehensible.

So, it doesn't matter what you have done in your life. What matters is if you have attended my speeches and my inauguration.
