So for potentially competitive states, he's on the ballot in IA and CO, off the ballot in NV, NM, TX, FL, GA, NC, WI, MI, OH, PA, NH, and ME, and down to MN, VA, and AZ for additional opportunities, but the AZ signature requirement is probably out of reach for him based on results so far.

CO isn't "potentially competitive".

Anybody who worked for this sham of a “campaign” should be blacklisted from politics for the rest of their life.

Not that it matters for obvious reasons but I've noticed we've been overlooking DC. I looked into it and the deadline is 90 days before the election, which he missed. Also Iowa is still open to challenges.

So with the West Virginia announcement the map is now:

Kanye tweeted about his current ballot status, note that this was right before he got checked off West Virgina's Ballot. He apparently forgot that he applied for Missouri, and suggests that he did apply in Virginia.

Yup. He filed in VA, but given its stringent rules I wouldn't bet on him making it.

Also today is Louisiana, which he is probably going to make, as it's just a flat fee.

Gray states are where he hasn't made an attempt, but could theoretically still try?

Yeah, states where filing is still open.

He's got less than two hours to qualify in Louisiana, and he's not listed on the Secretary of State's website yet. (Don Blankenship, however, is.)

EDIT: Less than an hour now, and still no Kanye, although other new candidates have been added.

If he makes the ballot in TN and VA + ID and OR, he has ballot access from the Atlantic to the Pacific ... Smiley

If MN, IA, MO and LA, from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.

It’s now 4:30 CT — the official qualifying period for non-recognized party candidates in Louisiana has closed, and Kanye is not on the SOS’s list. (Which admittedly could be a little behind.)

August 24 for Independent candidates, with the state needing to certify by September 1

https://sos.idaho.gov/elect/Calendar/2020ElectionCalendar.pdf

He needs to collect signatures from at least 1000 registered voters.

Sorry to report that Kanye has qualified in Louisiana. (Not a huge surprise, given the loose ballot requirements.)

Why sorry? I think anyone who is running should be allowed on the ballot. It's free and fair!

Next week, we'll hear from Idaho (Monday) and Oregon and Wyoming (Tuesday). Kanye West will probably make Idaho and miss the other two, if I had to guess.

If I had to guess now, I'd predict Kanye West's map ends up looking like this at the end:

This is my current guess. In a few weeks, we can see how right or wrong I was.

EDIT: Changed Mississippi to him getting on, I forgot how easy that state was.

Everyone who is running?  Really?  So you want hundreds of names on the ballot for president?

The 2003 recall in California had over 130 candidates on the ballot, with the top 3 names getting 93.5% of the vote. No harm in competition!

If both, he makes a cross. Was this his plan the whole time??? #GodsCountry

Thing is I haven't heard of any canvassing being done in Idaho. Better move quickly this weekend.
