I am not defending it, but basic human tribalism shows that people like to associate themselves with people who look like them.

White people like to associate themselves with white people.

Black people like to associate themselves with black people.

Latino people like to associate themselves with Latino people.

I don't understand why people have a problem with that.

I don't care what race you are, I would get along with you. I try to get along with all races and ethnicities.

The fact of the matter is that most Americans like segregation, they hang around people that look like them. Progressives need to understand that before they continue with the guilt and shaming. People like to be around people that look like them.

i proposed a solution a while back - all people of certain incomes/disadvantaged backgrounds should feel free to take anything they need from essential goods stores like target and then the gov simply reimburses target later for the merchandise

This isn't an entirely foolish post. At least under Ohio law a false alarms charge can easily rise to the level of felony depending on the amount of damage caused, which is frequently calculated by police and fire department overtime investigating the false alarm which crosses a relatively low felony level dollar threshold quite easily.
