Unlike Donald Trump, Mitt Romney won't look pretty stupid 30 years from now.

I feel so validated that my entire conscious political history can basically be summed up as anti-Mitt Romney given that I was a Huckabee/Huntsman/Trump fanatic in each of the last three presidential primaries (and for Obama when he faced this cretin). If you attack Mitt Romney, you will likely be able to get my vote.

Romney’s gonna be the moderate candidate in 2024 for the republicans and come in 3rd place

He's up for reelection in the Senate that year.  Does UT allow candidates to run for both offices simultaneously?

If Republicans want a 77 year old moderate, they will vote for Donald Trump in 2024.

There aren't enough "Romney-style moderates" to get third place in a Republican primary.

Romney is in spectacularly good condition, both physically and mentally, considering his age. Much more than the two guys we have running. Thought of that when you mentioned he'll be 77 then and can't believe he's in his 70's.

I don’t think Romney is going to even run for re-election and in fact if any other republican was in office , I doubt Romney ever runs for the senate

I’m so worried that things are going to backfire on protestors... it really felt like there was a really energy in favor of the protestors among the public this time...

Why not? He seems healthy and energetic enough, seems a good political fit for Utah and could have a long and distinguished career if he wanted it. It's not as if he's out of political proposals, either.

He might be alienated from most of the Republican caucus depending on where it next drifts, but some committee roles may come with seniority and, even if they're disliked by their own parties as a result, moderate senators/those with backbone can wield a lot of power solely through their reputations as people prepared to cross partisan lines.

No.
Utah law allows a person to file a declaration of candidacy for, or be a candidate for, President or Vice President and another office, “if the person resigns the person's candidacy for the other office after the person is officially nominated for President or Vice President of the United States.”

Jacinta Price, Aboriginal Program Councillor from the heartland of the Australian outback, Alice Springs, calls BLM protestors in Australia "narcissists" following the weekends rallies:

https://www.facebook.com/57886636727/posts/10157380268571728/?d=null&vh=e

Jacinta makes strong points about what the Aboriginal people need other than protests and Instageam likes.

I don't think people in Australia such as myself are trying to discount the size of this social movement in the USA, and it may be long overdue.

It's just that people in Western Australia and the Northern Territory know that "Deaths in Custody" is not the real issue facing Aboriginal people.

Keep in mind that people from Melbourne would know about 3/5th's of f$%^ all about Aboriginal life.

She highlights one of the roadblocks to racial equality is the lack of meaningful analysis of social statistics regarding the Aboriginal population.

Speaking of Romney, I wonder what % of the vote he would get if he ran as an independent; especially how much he would get in Utah.

Though I guess he would underperform even McMuffin.

I did have an idea for reform based on the Patten Reportused in Northern Ireland. Probably stupid but I just thought it should be thrown out there.

2/50 and 5/20 recruiting system. 50% men 50% women. 20% white, 20% black, 20% Hispanic, 20% Asian, 20% Native American.

Policing Board based on census data. if a city is 60% black, they get 6/10 seats.

A Police Ombudsman, elected by the public to handle any complaints made against the police.

White House is considering a Trump speech to the nation on race and unity

Quote
After a weekend of massive peaceful protests around the country, White House officials are currently deliberating a plan for President Donald Trump to address the nation this week on issues related to race and national unity, as Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson hinted in an interview with CNN on Sunday and a senior administration official said was under serious consideration.

Is this little Donnie trying to run out in front of the parade so he can pretend he's leading it, or is the Trump maladministration worried that things are going so well they need to have the Chief Muppet try to incite some more violence?

He should run as an independent, but only apply to get on the ballot in Utah.

Speaking from an electoral perspective, Trump really screwed up the Church photo op, I mean at the very least I would have gone into the basement which was where the fire was and taken the photos there.
