BREAKING: War president who thinks a mask makes him look weak is now hiding in a bunker.  

Should he be brave and order the Secret Service to pull a Tiannenan Square? What do you want him to do? Open the gates and let a mob of white kids pull him apart? What do you want from him?

Under normal circumstances, the President addresses the nation and articulates a clear strategy for ending the violence in the streets. Instead, the President has made a series of tweets oozing with inchoate rage and blind fury. This just angers the rioters even more and perpetuates lawlessness.

The problem with that is the fact that the left doesn’t view Trump as a symptom of a problem as much as they think the problem itself.

A nationally broadcast address wouldn’t help. Not with this President, though he does share a bit of the blame for that himself.

That is the problem, yeah, and you're right that it makes it hard for Trump to do anything about it. If he had just gone radio silent I'd have some sympathy and even respect for that. The issue, as it so often is, is that he's such a loose cannon on social media.

Also, thank you rioters for giving me a free hour of vacation today. They closed my office early today in anticipation of a mass protest at 5pm. Rumors on Facebook (from pro riot sources) suggest rioters from Greensboro may be driving up to agitate. I removed all the stacks of papers from my windowsill just in case they throw rocks.

Wrong. States and localities refuse to pay police officers a fair wage commensurate with the risks they take for us every day. This is the least we should all do to make it worthwhile.

I was curious about this, and local news is reporting and the state Dept. of Public Safety is claiming the driver "saw the crowd and panicked". Which seems...bad for someone who drives for a living to do. Why hasn't he run over hundreds of people at crosswalks before?

Ok looking at the Scurlock case it looks like the shooter himself seems pretty innocent in this. However the father of the shooter doesn't so good as it looks as if he may have lightly started the whole escalation.
The shooter himself was actually retreating there slowly .
