Gore would've made the best President of all the nominees that lost and in some if not many ways would've been better than Obama. Kerry ran the best campaign out of the losing candidates.

If it were the 2016-or-earlier Joe Biden, he'd jump Hillary.

Kerry should be number 2 after Obama, he would have solved the Katrina crisis. Bush W was tied to the oil industry and let it get out of control and lead to Gulf spill of 2010

1. Obama- good views, good person, good policy (would've been much better if not for DINOs, also didn't perform that bright on FP), amazing campaigner. Has the most good qualities of the bunch.
2. Gore, the environmental activism gives him a lot of points.
3. Clinton, would've been a great President and has been treated very unfairly.

4. Biden, good guy with a great policy, prefer the above three on their record but he'd be a great President.

5. Kerry, he's good and has a great domestic policy, but his bad handling of the peace negotiations was kind of a turnoff.

Why do people still waste their breath defending Hillary Clinton? She had absolutely no vision in 2016 aside from carrying on with the Obama legacy and it was therefore impossible for her to portray herself as a credible actor for economic change. Now, you might say that she would have been a decent president even if her campaign messaging was bad-- but part of being a leader is seeing the big picture and being able to turn that into a course of action. Instead of focusing on, let's say, the regional economic depression in the Midwest, she ran an IdPol-based campaign about how it's a woman's turn to lead and Trump posts racist memes. I do not deny that she would have been better than Trump, but she is certainly not the best on this list, and would have completely ignored all of the economic issues that Trump's election has got us talking about.
