Clearly this is not helping the Democrats. Biden can barely get his message out and this is elevating Trump.

Seems like he is getting a rally around the flag bump.

Can guarantee this won't last to November though.

We will see. We've never really been through something like this that's why I think it def favors Trump. The country is scared and looks to the President for leadership.

I honestly think its fear of the unknown and how about 2 weeks ago Trump pivoted to a much more serious tone and actions. Similar to after 911, the country is scared right now and is mostly standing with the President. Obviously if Trump gets too political that will hurt him but right now the country likes his tone.

Even if the majority disapproved of Trump's response it would not help the Democrats. Pelosi and Schumer's response has been historically awful.

Yeah, the polling is starting to look good for him now.

Polling looked good for Carter in early 1980 to and look how that turned out. Time will tell if positive polling for Trump continues till November.

Pelosi & Schumer put themselves into a corner by not allowing the Stimulus Deal to pass. They will lose big if they keep this posturing.
They did the same thing with Impeachment!

Because he was nicer.

Seriously though, the bar is set so low for Trump that Americans will jump for joy whenever he steps over it.

Agree. From a neutral optics perspective, all I've seen in cable news lately is how the Democrats are trying to block the latest relief bill over the smallest details. I sometimes feel like we are living in a simulation designed to find out what eight years of a Trump presidency would do to the world.

Agreed. It is still fairly early, and we don't know how the coronavirus will play out.

That's true. I just think Trump is showing he can be a leader during a crisis. Def not perfect but he is stepping up. This is a very, very difficult problem.

Leave it to the Democrats to bungle one of the easiest layups in history.

No it wasn't, Americans fall in line with leaders pretty easily during crisis.

Remind me how Americans rallied behind President Bush during the financial crisis.

Don't worry: the Biden campaign is setting up the internet as we speak!

I see this being a bit like the 1979-1980 hostage crisis in that it first is a boost for the President (Carter got a much, much bigger boost though) and then becomes a liability.

Can we not ignore these polls were conducted before Trump' comments about opening quarantines due to the economy? These are based on promises that have all since been broken.

He wants to be President of the United States and he can't find anything to talk about for days on end because he's not in office and there's a flu going around?

Every person except Klobuchar hubby are tested positive for Coronavirus were Pence staffer and Rand Paul. Biden isnt the best candidate but it's a unity ticket; Dem candidates Bullock, Cunningham,  Bollier and Gary Peter's have much better approvals than the Rs have.

Also, Tillis and Burr have a 29 percent approval rating
