Absolutely embarrassing for Warren to barely get 20% in her home state. She is an awful politician.

I agree with this.  It's unfortunate because I really appreciate her background, grasp of the issues and her message.  She has terrible political instincts, however.

Yup.

Wasted all that time attacking Bloomberg which caused blue check marks on twitter to cream their pants while letting Sanders (her biggest threat skate by). She got nothing out of destroying Bloomberg, all his support went right back to Biden.

Just an awful politician.

In hindsight her attacks on Bloomberg actually harmed the progressive cause by helping the moderates consolidate around Biden.

She had two choices.  Go after Sanders and try to win or drop out and endorse him. Attacking Bloomberg may have felt good, but it was never going to accomplish much.

It helped push Bloomberg out of the race.  That's a win for progressivism.

And personally, even if this wasn't her intention, I think helping deny Sanders the nomination will actually be better for progressivism in the long run too.  Warren is getting lots of criticism on here tonight, but let's think about the crappy political instincts Sanders has shown.  He was the frontrunner just a couple of days ago and had every advantage,  but he doubled down on praise for Fidel Castro (!!!) and continued to alienate and piss off all the potential allies he'd need to bring the party together around him.  His political instincts are shat.

Oh, Sanders is bad at this as well. You will get no argument there from me. The main reason why I never supported him was because of the people he hired. Sirota, Joy Gray, Nina Turner etc. These are some of the worst actors from 2016 and that told me that Sanders had no plan to expand his base.

Tulsi Gabbard will end this primary with more delegates than Kamala Harris. I think that might've been all she wanted.

The odds of Sanders winning a brokered convention without a plurality of delegates are incredibly low.

Joe Biden is a disaster.. hope there is a contested convention this time around IMO. These results are pretty much a tie.

Well this is quite a turnaround among Bernie supporters.  Literally 2 days ago the position was that the person with the most votes should be the nominee.

Biden will lose to Trump. We want to win don't we? And the moderate consolidation definitely helped Biden, otherwise would have been a Bernie sweep.

Biden will not lose to Trump, which is why Trump doesn't want to run against him, and risked his entire Presidency and got impeached to avoid it.

Well that’s just denial of the truth, but I understand being upset. I thought I was going to be in your shoes tonight and was getting ready to rally behind Sanders

Not upset. Feeling a bit better than earlier in the night. I'm with Sanders until the end.

Maine is going to be extremely close...

Nevertheless, win or lose, the fact it's this close after Bernie won it by 30 points just four years ago is automatically a loser for him.

I have a hard time seeing how he goes into the convention with a lead in the popular vote either.

According to CNN Bernie just retook the lead in Maine with 68% reporting, it's been an insane back and forth all night.

Considering what has happened in basically every other state, California really is massive for Bernie. Justifies him staying in longer
It doesn't offset his horrible night pretty much everywhere else.

Did Virginia end up having the highest turnout of the states tonight?  I'm trying to figure out what types of voters were most triggered.  It looks like black people and suburban voters so far (based purely on counties where I have a decent understanding of the demographics).

I said this early today and I was barked at.  Bernie should drop out tonight for the good of the party.  He is d.o.n.e.

I have to say I'm pissed off more than anything. Biden didn't win this himself. Some last minute shady deals between Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Beto, and the entirety of the media did.

Spearheaded by Obama.

If the election were held tomorrow, I wouldn't stay home though.

I'd vote for Trump

literally f**k the DNC, f**k the media.  f**k the whole party apparatus.  Warren?  I hope she gets primaried up her ass and eats sh**t.

Holding onto my Bernie shares on Predictit though in case Biden catches COVID-19.

I would give Bernie an edge, as it seems more of the Portland area is out than the outstate, where Biden has been dominating.

Warren isn't even dropping out.  No way Sanders does.  He needs to give his supporters some hope I guess.  So it's fair for him to stay in a few more months.

Bernie supporters and Biden supporters: please be nice to one another. We all need each other to beat the fascist prick in the White House.

Thanks! Smiley
This post is hippie nonsense.

As long as all the different libs are going to show up in November to vote for the Dem candidate to defeat Trump, and not stay home, the Bernie socialist libs and the moderate libs SHOULD be at each other's throats. They are enemies and they want totally different things for this country.

You have no clue what ur talking about
The socialists want free healthcare, free college, trillions in government spending on wind and solar energy, and taxing millionaires so high that they'll all move away to different countries. The moderates want pre-Trump America. Those are two VERY different visions for America.

I’m a moderate and I certainly don’t want only a return to pre trump America. We have a vision too.... *rolls eyes

A public option as a path to universal coverage
Free community college and more affordable public universities
Huge investments into renewable energy
Get drug prices WAY down
Comprehensive immigration reform... etc

This is still a vision for America and not just a return to the norm

Biden is the best hope for Trump. A NAFTA supporting guy who polls 5% among young people & is incapable of stringing together a sentence. Trump is probably celebrating tonight.

Biden is a complete clown & even after winning called his wife a sister. This guy is going to beat Trump ?

Lol Buttigieg is outperforming Biden in Sonoma County. Those wine cave shindigs are really paying off.

I'm ready to enthusiastically support whoever gets the nomination. Both Sanders and Biden have flaws and both were pretty far down my list to be the nominee but I'm ready to support both.

Sanders would sadly shake his head at your pigheaded foolishness.

It's easy to want to burn something down. It's infinitely harder to build something up.
