The NV caucus reporting from 4 years ago was an equal disaster, so this is actually nothing new.

As long as Pete wins today, I don’t mind.

But IA should probably switch to a primary soon and hold it together 1st with NH in future.

Also, this is why we need paper ballots. Sometimes doing it the old fashioned way isn't so bad.

Gonna step out and have a smoke considering the snails' pace of the updates....

Anybody else who wants to go through DMR "Final Votes by County for updated % be my guest"....

I've only been monitoring the largest counties, but considering this is where we're at now....

Statewide
0 of 1765 precincts reporting delegate equivalents (0.0%) • 33 of 1765 precincts reporting first alignment (1.9%) • 30 of 1765 precincts reporting final alignment (1.7%)

Guys, Iowa is never getting rid of its caucuses. They would be required to go after New Hampshire if they did. People guard the state’s “first in the nation” status pretty zealously around here.

Sanders will still most likely win this thing. But now they also have their excuse to cry 'Rigged!' They'll have it both ways.

Sanders is losing this despite winning the popular vote by a good margin. And unfortunately for you, Warren's realigned total seems worse than initial vote despite talk of 2nd choice voters going to Warren.

This is why the Popular Vote is better than than this EC non-sense type of thing. Warren is in 2nd position & way ahead of Pete yet now she is 3rd well behind Pete.

I don't believe it's rigged. It's just a delay. Calm down. I'm a Bernie supporter, and i'm sure this is handled fairly. But what we see is that a caucus is something of the past, and that IA should move towards a primary. That's a fair conclusion to draw.

Iowa DNC just said they aren’t releasing any results officially yet for “quality control” with an “abundance of caution” and will give “no ETA”... this sounds fishy.

This makes me embarrassed to be a Dem.
You really should've already been embarrassed to be a Dem.

I'd be more embarrassed to be a socialist seeing as you have absolutely no power in the US and have dumbasses like AOC and Bernie leading your movement
Both are infinitely smarter than you because they actually see that there's something wrong with the system.

I recognize the system is flawed. You don't have to agree with quadrupling the annual federal budget to know that

It is remarkable how a program crashing or something can ruin something so important like this.

We've literally gotten only 1 more precinct in over half an hour. It's still only 33 precincts or less than 2% for the first alignment. Absolutely pathetic.

I'm worried that no matter who wins, people are going to think they rigged it because of the tech problems. Especially if it's Pete who wins, the Bernie bros are going to go insane.

At the DNC right now:

„We are doing quality reporting checks, don’t worry.“

Bernie ahead by 2 points.

„We need more quality reporting checks, results out soon.“

Bernie ahead by 1 point.

„Results soon !“

Bernie tied with Pete.

„Got some app problems, but results will definitely surely be out in some 10 minutes !“

Bernie trailing ...

„Here are ze resultz !“

Bernie Bros be damned. At this juncture, I don't think anyone will be happy no matter who wins. This is just such a sh**tshow, any momentum gained from this caucus will be in the form of intense fingerpointing at the DNC/organizers/format/app/etc from all campaigns.

I'm about ready to accept a 4-way delegate tie and look towards New Hampshire as the official start of the 2020 primaries

Bernie went from a 20 point lead to essentially a 5 way tie at this location:

How is the second part of that even possible?

If (as an example) the vote is 40 (Bernie)-25 (Biden)-15 (Pete)-10 (Liz)-10 (Klob) in a five delegate precinct, the break out would be 3-1-1 (extra assigned to Bernie as winner since Biden failed to reach 30). However, everyone that gets to 15% is required to get a delegate. Biden gives five each to Liz and Klob before viability cut. Therefore, each candidate meeting viability gets one. New result is 40-15-15-15-15

They could have tried to siphon 5 more from unviable candidates, but they would risk 5 more going to Bernie too.

(Not an expert on this but that's a very simplistic example)

Reports from Biden HQ (courtesy of Fox Business, I'm watching that while looking at a variety of websites) are saying that they're surprised at some of the local coverage showing multiple individual caucus locations where Biden wasn't viable.
