can someone explain me how all this works

To keep it simple:

Step 1: Everybody votes for the candidate they want.

Step 2: Any people voting for candidates that have under 15% at their precinct has to re-vote.

That's basically it. People make this sound way more complicated than it is.

Technically they don't have to re-vote/realign, like that Warren supporter earlier who chose not to switch to Sanders, but it's probably best that you do if you want your vote to count.

You are mixing the one from Ottuma with the one in Paris. Here is the first round of the Paris caucus:

Whoops, my bad on that one.

First round of restarted Paris Caucus:

7 Warren
5 Sanders
3 Klobuchar
2 Buttigieg

Buttigieg is unviable, his supporters will have to realign.

Pretty horrible for Buttigieg if he can't even reach viability in the wine-drinking capital of the world.

So far from these satellite caucuses it is actually looking like Klobuchar is the main moderate alternative to Bernie, interestingly enough.

Can someone post the stats on voter transfers from the 1st Round to the 2nd Round? I'm curious as to what voters are going to who and how alliances are working out.

Sanders has apparently won the Fort Madison satellite caucus, still tracking down the number but report on twitter claims he received 4 delegates.

Nobody could have predicted that (humble brag):

I'm terrified that the new reporting app that the Iowa Democrats are going to use on caucus night is going to crash.

Is there anywhere we can get a tally of all these satellite caucus votes so far? I know they're statistically unimportant and probably skew from normal results but I think it would be nice to have a tally until we get into the main course.

KLOBMENTUM

I hope so. Amy Klobuchar is the only candidate that could get me away from voting Trump.

Does anyone know if initial preferences will be reported right away or will we have to wait until the caucus concludes?

Wut? Paris and Glasgow... nobody there votes for Joe Biden? Absolutely NOTA? Come on, man.

Americans living overseas tend to skew decidedly left-wing in their political views (especially those who come into contact with many of Europe's left-wing parties and public institutions that Sanders/Warren advocate for). It's no surprise that Sanders and Warren are doing well in these satellite caucuses in Europe.
