After the Parnas interview, no sane person can claim that Trump is innocent. It is as simple as that. I know that it won't matter, but it really is as simple as that.

Yep.

Per Newsweek:

Hyde insists that he was "just playing" in texts between himself and Parnas regarding Yovanovitch

Quote
Pressed again for a response to suggestions he surveilled Yovanovitch, the congressional candidate said: "I mean those are pretty heavy accusations. It was just colorful, we were playing. I thought we were playing. I didn't know he was so serious."

Quote
After a long pause, Bolling asked Hyde if he "had eyes on Marie Yovanovitch," referring to texts where he spoke of surveilling the ex-U.S. ambassador.

"Absolutely not, are you kidding me?" Hyde said. "I'm a little landscaper from f****** Connecticut. Come on."

He went on to argue that "the left" was more offended by his text messages than "supporting the Iranian protesters" or caring about the opioid crisis.

"I barely know the guy [Parnas]... I was told a long time ago who Lev was by a lot of people down in communities throughout this country, [who] would pull me aside, have meetings with me and tell me to stay away from the guy," Hyde said. "I was never a close associate of Lev Parnas."

The congressional candidate went on to say he liked the businessman's character and say they had "a lot of laughs," but suggested he had tried to "throw me under a bus somehow for joking around on WhatsApp."

Quote
After handing the documents over to House lawmakers, Parnas told Rachel Maddow on Wednesday night that he didn't take the texts "seriously," and thought Hyde was "trying to make himself bigger than he was."

An initial investigation into illegal (by U.S. law) surveillance of a then-U.S. ambassador by U.S. entities is being conducted by Ukraine .

A bit of an oversimplification, but let that sink in.

LOL, look at the face of Adam Schiff.

How can the People of California elect such a snark and work to the U. S. House.

Adam Schiff is a disgrace to the American Public and now expects the Senate to do his Homework. Such a Troll is Adam.

If I were a gangster I would prefer that he be in the House of Representatives and not be prosecuting me. Many Blue politicians are former DA's, tough-as-nails types when they must be, but capable of showing humanity at other times.

It is up to Senate Republicans to decide whether the evidence of Presidential wrongdoing mandates removal.

All in all, impeachment has gone how I expected it to go around a couple months ago: an utter disaster for the Democrats. I can't wait for Trump to be acquitted from the House's partisan bullcrap by the grown-ups in the Senate and for the fake moderate Dems in Trumpy areas to lose their seats in November for allowing themselves to be pushed into this sham. Quite a few of them knew what they did was wrong and probably considered going the Jeff van Drew route but didn't have the courage to do the right thing!
^A good reminder of what partisan hacks Trumpers are^

So much for the "Trump did it, but it's not actually criminal" defense.

The GOP defense will now be one of these: Either the GAO is a liberal hoax, filled with Obummer loyalists or, yes, it was not legal, but not a big deal anyways. And Mr. Trump didn't know what was going on.

Quite the big talk from someone who was seated in the Senate as a figurative participation trophy.

Trump is guilty and that is crystal clear now. Hold anybody who will not hold Trump and his corrupt regime accountable yourself on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

And long afterwards. In an ideal world voters should be punishing Republicans for their spinelessness in 2022 and 2024, but in the world we actually live in we’d be lucky if voters remember this in November this year.

What makes this ironic is that the same reporter's profile picture is one of him with the late John McCain, whose seat McSally now holds. What a disgrace she is, and what a slap in the face it was to voters that she got appointed. I hope she loses in November.
