Ridiculous! Mike Pence isn't unelectable!

Now now, let's everybody settle down.

Pence isn't unelectable, but if things get to the point where Trump is forced from office on account of 20+ GOP senators voting for removal, then that likely means there has been something so damaging that these Senators feel comfortable enough with their bases to vote that way.

That wouldn't bode well for Pence, especially without an ample amount of time to restore public faith in the administration before the election.

You are grasping at straws here if you think Democrats can find 20+ Republican Senators to side with them and remove Trump and so do other Atlas Democrats.

Given that Republicans control the Senate this Impeachment thingy was always going to be at the DEAD END once it arrived at the Senate.

Folks like Lindsey Graham, John Barrasso, Tom Cotton, Jon Boozeman among others won't vote to remove Trump.

Ridiculous! Mike Pence isn't unelectable!

His constituency is the Religious Right and America's numerically-small economic elite. He would have trouble, as a lapsed Catholic, with the Catholic vote.  His star was fading rapidly in Indiana when Trump picked him, possibly as "impeachment insurance".

Not sure if you were talking to me, but I never implied that was even a remote possibility.  I was speaking purely in hypotheticals.

Chris Cillizza looks incredibly stupid right now... which, in all fairness, isn't too difficult for him.

What did he say?

Random opinion: none of the Democratic Senators who are running for President should bother making themselves present for the impeachment hearings beyond up or down votes. We all know (and have always known) how this is going to end, so why take valuable time away from the campaign trail for what was always going to be a farce?

The dude didn't even win a majority in Indiana - where Romney won 54% of the vote in the same election. He's a dud and the only reason he was picked by Trump was to offset his whorish and ungodly ways to try and satiate the evangelicals.

I doubt that was the only reason. Getting approval from whoever Trump trusts/likes at the moment is also important, as was the often-demonstrated willingness to get down and lick filth from Trump's shoes.

LOL, look at the face of Adam Schiff.

How can the People of California elect such a snark and work to the U. S. House.

Adam Schiff is a disgrace to the American Public and now expects the Senate to do his Homework. Such a Troll is Adam.

Donald Trump supporters helped monitor ex-US ambassador to Ukraine
Impeachment Hearings: Marie Yovanovitch Says She Felt Threatened by Trump

It's looking like the Trump Administration is, or was, an imminent threat to our diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

How are we supposed to respond to those, Republicans?

Also he was the best of a bad shortlist for Trump (the guys he beat out were Christie and Gingrich lol), lots of better contenders had no interest on being on the ticket with Trump since it looked like a losing ticket and establishment Republicans hadn’t fully accepted Trump/lost their spines yet and gotten over him being well Donald Trump.

I know this is only somewhat related to impeachment, but this seems like the most appropriate thread to post this:

Dear Mr. Adam Schiff,

Hopefully this will get into your HEAD at some Point in due course:

"President Trump will not removed from Office. Give it up!"

The Voters will decide the Presidents Fate and not you and your other Impeachment Clowns - Period!

This is a huge improvement for the approval of Impeachement in Wisconsin. It looks like Democrats going ahead and doing it has improved it's standing.

This is incorrect. The voters do not decide who the President is, or else Hillary Clinton, who got approximately 3 million more votes than Trump, would be President.

The peculiar institution of the Electoral College decides who the President is, not the voters.

"Because a bunch of cowardly Republican senators will vote to acquit a corrupt president in order to save their careers, we should turn a blind eyle to multiple crimes committed while in office and before." Sounds like a great logic and a great example for the future.
