I think that Buttigeig, though likely to lose the White House to Trump due to his lack of experience and muted minority turnout, would do more to strengthen the Democrats position in the House than any other candidate. The majority minority districts are going to Democrats anyway, but Pete probably has enough broad appeal to hold on to and even expand the suburban votes of 2018, while not appearing so far left as to alienate independents.

Yang, as he has that different perspective, which could benefit Dems in solid red districts trying to appeal for Trump voters.

Joe Biden, because he is the strongest candidate. He will provide most coattails for congressional races. Many of them, especially on the senate side, are in states like North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Arizona. And Joe Biden has the best chance to carry them.

Another way of putting that question is, "Which candidate will most appeal to moderate suburban white women?". Answer:. Amy Klobuchar.

There will probably be some net losses regardless of candidate, but Biden could probably keep the number down to like 5-7.
