no, I'm not joking, I'll go more into-depth on John Lennon's hatred of America and pro-Soviet tendencies later on.

Oh, well given that he lived in a world, similar to our present day, which was dominated by an agressive, fascist U.S., such hatred was reasonable.  His being pro-soviet may have been similar to my being pro-Irai-Resistance - one may not necessarily like the persons in question, but may like what they are doing to fight the greater danger.

I have a low opinion of all Communists.

I salute his assasin.

Another wacky comment from our resident 'pro-death' poster.

And what, Hawkeye, political power did Lennon have? Absolutelty none. Castro and Kim Jong Ill are national leaders. Lennon was a musician and activist, but he held no power. Would you shoot a school music teacher if you suspected them of Communist sympathies? Of course not.

Unlike a meare music teacher, Lennon had sway over millions of young people.  By being pro-Communist while many young men fought in the jungles of "Nam he signed his death warrant. He had sway, and he used it in an evil way.

You do realise Lennon was British and we didn't fight in the Vietnam War.

I respected him for speaking out and sticking to his guns regarding his views, to be honest I didn't know he actually identified as a communist (and if he did what does it matter?) - I really feel that his legacy will be the phrase (and idea) "give peace a chance".

Lennon was just a signer, and therefore does not qualify as a "freedom fighter" nor "horrible person."

Hawkeye He didn't bash America. He loved the States, and in particular New York where he made his home and unfortunately believed he was realtively safe and inconspicious. There is nothing to suggest Lennon was a Communist (a socialist perhaps, but not a communist).

If you ever listened to a little song called 'Revolution' on the White Album you would hear his negative opinion of both communism and revolution.

First of all "Revolution" is a very little song, something he is not known for.
Uh, you are kidding aren't you? Revolution was one of the most famous Beatles songs ever.

First of all "Revolution" is a very little song, something he is not known for. He is known for the anti-Vietnam War and pro-Communist (becuase it was used by the Worker's World and Socialist Worker's Parties at their pro-"Peace" rallies) "Give Peace a Chance" (which is a crappy song anyway).

Socialism is simply a small baby step behind Communism.

He loved the States becuase he made his money off of it, but then bashed us because of of our Capitalism,k what a hypocrite. He also lived Jew York City, a hub of Communism.

Small baby step? You do know Tony Blair is from a party with socialist roots and he himself was a socialist activist in his youth?

You NEVER win the argument Smiley You just drag it on until it becomes pointless.

If that is the only thing you can reply to in my post, than I guess I won the argument.

If you base your argument on a faulty foundation, then I don't see why I shouldn't point that out rather than meticulously arguing each and every point. If you let such a large factual error through, why are you WORTH arguing with (on any subject)?

I look at Briatian today with its high taxes and somewhat socialist healthcare program and I see a Communist nation.

But don't feel bad, MOST of Europe is Communist.

Haha! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ooh this gem is going in the funniest post thread Smiley

Your sodomy definitions you are so Hell bent on defining. Like a Jew Pharisee, you depend on silly wording to make a verdict, and forget the truth.

THis is what sodomy is as defined by King Jesus's Bible:

Shoving your dick up someone's ass. Sticking your dick in someone's mouth. Licking someone's privates. Shoving any object up someone's privates.

Would regular people do these things? No, only perverts would.

I don't think that exact phrase was in King James. If you've never had oral sex its okay, no need to be shy.

Though I have been in relationships, I will never have oral sex because I do not want to burn to a crisp in Hell.

So what on earth do you do?
