Bernie Sanders is getting a lot of support from Trump circles lately.  First it was Kevin McCarthy and Donald Trump echoing the Bernie Bro accusation that Pelosi impeaching Trump is a conspiracy to hurt Sanders.

Now Trump, Trump Jr., and Tucker Carlson are all joining in on the Bernie Bro crusade against CNN, with all three declaring the debate "rigged" against Sanders and part of a broader Democratic Party conspiracy to deny him the nomination.

Maybe I was wrong about Sanders all along, based on the last 48 hours it seems he is capable of building a bipartisan coalition... just so long as the goal is to promote outlandish conspiracy theories and attack the Democratic Party.

Yes, because it was rigged. While the moderators provided a contentious atmosphere, it crossed the line into openly calling BS in the debate stage, reporting hearsay as facts, and starting conflicts for money. To put it as plainly as I can, CNN is fake news, meant to back the current establishment and boost their bottom line.

Sure, the Trumpists may agree with us, but we're also not the one defending false charges of sexism with actual sexism, so we have that going for us.
God I sometimes wish CNN would actually spread fake news about Bernie just to show you people what fake news is. Criticism of your candidate isn’t fake news.

Silence, Republican.

Warren, Harris, Pete and of course Biden have been asked loaded or challenging questions throughout this debate cycle.  I've grumbled sometimes about questions that "aren't really fair to Biden" or "oversimplify what actually happened in South Bend" or things like that.

But you know what?  That's part of the process.  It's not like the general election is going to be all roses.  Our candidates will be challenged on their records, challenged on the story of the week, put in uncomfortable positions and forced to think on their feet.  The media is going to sensationalize and ask pointed, often unfairly-phrased questions.

I'm proud that Biden and Pete, the two candidates I really like, have been more than capable of handling this stuff.  Sanders, on the other hand, has been haranguing the media this entire cycle for not treating him like a front-runner or serious candidate.  I guess he thought that would just mean they write more positive stories about his poll numbers and fundraising and rallies.  Instead, last night he got to experience a taste of the critical questioning and hot spotlight Biden has been dealing with the entire cycle -- the life of an actual serious candidate and front-runner.

And he and his camp are COMPLETELY.  MELTING.  DOWN.  I didn't even think his performance was that bad but they're acting like CNN stabbed him in the back for asking him the kinds of questions they've been asking Biden and Pete this entire campaign.

This guy wouldn't last five minutes in a general election against Trump.  Any time he's criticized or forced off his stump speech he loses his cool and his campaign has a meltdown.

That is pretty reasonable, TBH. CNN disgraced itself.

PBS should run all debates.

Proud Trump supporter here (in case any of you might not be aware). I'm thinking of voting for Bernie in the New York primary to #StickItToTheEstablishment. Should I?
Better yet, why not do it in November?

I bet Bernie also would have voted against the US military saving a million Rwandans from genocide, if the Clinton admin hadn't wimped the hell out and decided not to get involved. Straight racism on foreign policy issues from the non-interventionists, both left and right.

This whole article raises troubling questions and is worth a read, though I will just post some excerpts:

CNN Reveals Bernie Sanders Running For President Of Country With History Of Sexism

Quote
WASHINGTON—Calling their bombshell report incredibly damning, CNN revealed Thursday that Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders has been knowingly running a campaign to become president of a country with a long history of sexism.

...

This new evidence proves beyond a doubt that Bernie Sanders strongly wants to lead a nation that has repeatedly enabled, supported, and encouraged misogyny,” said Anderson Cooper in a breaking news segment, claiming to have several documents directly linking Sanders to a country that did not even allow women to vote until the 20th century.

...

“Right here is a transcript of the text this woman-hating country was founded upon, a country which he willfully lives in and has publicly sworn an oath to, mind you. On just the first page it explicitly declares that all men are created equal, with absolutely no mention of women. And down here—look closely at these signatures that ratified this document as the supreme law of the land. You guessed it, all men.”

...

At press time, CNN confirmed that Sanders had not yet denied his close ties to this country nor its tens of millions of residents with deeply ingrained biases against women.

When will Bernie step up and forcefully condemn sexism and renounce his close ties to sexism?

You guys see what GeneralMcArthur is doing?  Let me take you back to 2016, when establishment Democrats were making the argument that Republicans would love to face Bernie Sanders in the General Election.  https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jul/14/bernie-sanders-republican-operatives-hillary-clinton; https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2016/0119/Why-top-Republicans-are-working-doggedly-to-help-Bernie-Sanders.  They are doing the same things today, and making the same arguments as 2016.

General McArthur thinks the rest of you are stupid.  Trump’s campaign was more afraid of Bernie than Clinton, because of his ability to win independent, white, uneducated voters.  Polls showed it back in 2016 when Sanders had double digit leads in the national polls, and post-election studies indicate that MI, WI, and PA Sanders primary voters that supported Trump would have won the Democrats the election. Sanders would have carried PA by 12, WI by 4, and MI by 6 minus the amount of establishment Democrats that would have voted against him due to socialism.

Then he’ll say that Democrats supporting Bernie cost Hillary the election.  Wrong.  Those Bernie/Trump voters were actually Independents.  They would have not voted or voted third party.  Opposition to TPP voters made up an overwhelming amount of Trump, Third Party or Non-vote decisions.  Bernie even pleaded with his supporters to vote Clinton instead of third party, because polling demonstrated that “poorly educated”, Independent support.  https://time.com/4497049/bernie-sanders-third-party-clinton/

CNN is doing the same thing they did last cycle.  Remember Donna Brazille feeding Hillary the questions?  This is just history repeating itself.   They are scared.  When you actually use the correct demographics to interpret the polls, you find Bernie winning the first three primary states on the backs of the young voters, and white working class, independent liberal supporters.  They expect it.

I mean, just, lol.

I don't know if the Sanders For President subreddit is still officially run by the campaign like it was in 2016 but I'd be shocked if they aren't administering it at least in part.

It originally started as a draft Sanders for 2016 subreddit. I was one of the first thousand (I want to say less than 1,000, but idk for sure) subscribers back when it was founded. I was excited for someone to challenge Hillary from the left.

Several of my friends and I drove two and a half hours to Reno to see him in August of 2015 because we weren’t sure if he would make it to California or if he would be in Reno again.

I remember sitting at Costco eating lunch when the first NH poll showing a Sanders lead came in late summer of 2015. I remember shopping for boots in the town to my north and checking every so often in awe at Bernie’s upset win in Michigan.

I was happy to share Sanders articles to that sub and enjoyed the enthusiasm. The moderators were friendly and there was a good sense of community.

However. I remember seeing the results from the March 15, 2016 primaries pour in. Sanders lost all 5. From that point, it was clear that he had no path to the nomination and should drop out. I unsubscribed from Sanders for President by about mid-late April as I recall.

I still voted for him in California’s June primary, with some slight hesitation. I was not happy to see him continue to run well after it was clear to anyone capable of adding four digit numbers could see that he wouldn’t be able to win the nomination.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know how much of the sour grapes was organic, given all that Mueller uncovered, but there was some acceptance by Sanders supporters. At the time when people should have been getting behind Hillary, there was still hesitation from high up in the Sanders campaign, not from the man himself, but from many of his surrogates.

They say that you can judge people by the company they keep. Even forgetting grassroots support, many of his surrogates and major supporters are questionable. I think everyone here is aware of The Young Turks for example.

I have not been impressed by his 2020 staff, many of whom are acting like rabid attack dogs (Gray and Sirota for example). But what I’m really disappointed by is the Sanders For President subreddit. It was generally a happy and friendly place in the 2016 campaign. This time? Not so much. At least one of initial moderators/creators of the subreddit went on to work for the campaign in 2016. Seemed like a decent guy. Not sure if he’s doing it this time or not.

My political positions have not really changed since 2016, but I cannot in good faith support the Bernie Sanders campaign for 2020. If you want to say that you’re different from Donald Trump, having what is essentially an arm of your campaign ban CNN as being “fake news” in all but name is not where you should start. There’s a reason why I currently have a withered rose emoji in my display name. 🥀

Edit: To head off any questions, of course I will vote for him if he’s the nominee.

It would be weird if Bernie supporters weren't mad at CNN.  They devout so little time to his campaign despite being a front runner, which was also the case in 2016.  When they do cover Sanders, they report gaslight narratives to smear him.  He once suggested that the Washington Post writes bad articles about him, and CNN said he deserved the bad media coverage for criticizing the fact that Amazon pays no taxes.  The establishment media has been comparing Sanders to Trump for four years to convince lemmings to elect corrupt politicians to ignore any reform to corporate greed.  Both Amazon (Washington Post) and AT&T (CNN) are video entertainment partners that are attempting vertical mergers to dominate two chains of the content provider production line in violation of anti-trust laws.  They need Bernie to lose.

Also, CNN has lied about Sanders by relying on claims from untrustworthy sources.  In 2016, Debbiw Wasserman-Schultz claimed Bernie Bros threw a chair at the DNC, and continued to rely on the establishment story despite online video immediately contradicting this narrative.  Similar to the Sandmann case they settled, CNN was aware of the video disputing their story, they solely relied on untrustworthy, politically-motivated sources.  Last week they relied on an unreliable politically-motivated source with a history of lying to push the narrative that Bernie Sanders is a sexist.

What the establishment "forgets" to mention is that Ralston's credible source for the chair-throwing rumors was a long-time Hillary operative/blogger.

What the establishment "forgets" to mention is that Ralston's credible source for the chair-throwing rumors was a long-time Hillary operative/blogger.

NYT accused his supporters of violence, sexist name-calling, and feral threats.  Said Bernie "flashed a bit of Trump".  The media will continue reporting untrustworthy information and falsehoods as long as it's effective on the Fubarts. There's no reason to stop.  Democrats will unknowingly vote for their corporate tax breaks, sub-standard worker standards, monopolies, and trade agreements.

My opinion is some of the DNC’s actions and attitudes were inappropriate and they probably were biased against Bernie, but they did not rig the primary. And if the DNC was completely neutral, Hillary would probably still have won the nomination.

Mauren Dowd does not equate to NYT. She is just one op-ed writer for the NYT (as far as the main section goes).

Now, there are other ways NYT does show a slight anti-Bernie bias, especially in their "fact check" columns when they label comparable exaggerations by others with different words than for him. But that is true for pretty much all the 'serious people' in the country, and I wouldnt say NYT is any more biased than the rest of the establishment.

But even a conservative like me can see that Sanders was cheated out of the Democratic presidential nomination the last time, with the Democratic National Committee rigging the whole thing for Hillary Clinton. And now it’s happening again.

are we really this stupid

It's not stupid!

Look at the Timing of the Impeachment Inquiry:

- September 24th 2019: House Speaker Pelosi announced that the House of Representatives is opening up an Impeachment Inquiry to President Donald John Trump.
- December 13th 2019: The House Judiciary sent Two Articles of Impeachment to the House for a Floor Vote
- December 18th 2019: The House of Representatives impeaches President Donald John Trump
- January 15th 2020: The House passes a Resolution naming "Impeachment Managers"
- January 16th 2020: The Impeachment Trail of President Donald John Trump begins.

Now, tell me if all of this is just coincidence because I don't think so. Speaker Pelosi knew excatly what she was doing here and more importantly when she would do it.
