Just think, if Jimmy Carter came out of retirement and ran again with Pete as his running mate, they would be Peanut/Butti.
(I'll get my coat...)
And if Biden is to win, I hope he's gonna choose Maria Cantwell as his running mate so that they both would run as a "Biden/Cantwell" ticket.
Of all women, why Cantwell? She’s boring. I mean, I know you want a VP who doesn’t outshine you, but might as well pick someone like Cortez Masto who’s young and exciting enough to potentially succeed you.

I was referring to the pun made by GeorgiaModerate.
"Biden/Cantwell" sounds like "Biden can't [do] well". Roll Eyes

At that point obviously any nominee should pick Rhode Island's junior Senator as their running mate.

Do you think there's a "reverse Gayley-Effect" going on with Buttigieg ?

People not telling pollsters their real intention, but voting for Pete in the actual elections that matter ?

Sanders supporters are coalescing around Warren and she has plenty of time to close gap with Biden.

Warren will he the nominee.

Behind the two old people (the left one is a former IA Governor) you can see that almost 47.000 votes have now been cast, but there's no movement any longer:

Here is the trendline:

Biden has dropped from 35% when the Iowa Fair started to 23% now.

not seeing those wild fluctuations for Pete's numbers that were posted earlier in this thread.  Were those a mistake?

Update (Republicans +4 vs. Democrats now):

Trump's numbers are pretty solid, considering he's at 51% of all votes cast.

He only got 40% of the vote in the Des Moines area in 2016 against Hillary.

You guys are aware this "poll" is such a joke it even allows children and non-Iowa residents to vote?

Yes.  We read the whole thread, where it's been discussed multiple times.

I have not seen a clear source so far that kids are allowed to vote in the 2 straw polls ...

Out-of-state adults of course can, but how many people outside of IA are visiting the state fair ?

Probably a negligible number.

That’s not a „clear source“.

It’s not clear if it was „his“ vote, or just the kernel of his mum that he cast for her.

It's not definitive, but the DMR article about Gillibrand's son says nothing about it being her kernel, and the wording (at least to me) implies that it was his own:

Quote
Before the presidential hopeful spoke at The Des Moines Register Political Soapbox on Saturday, she stopped by WHO-TV's Cast Your Kernel contest, a casual way fairgoers show support for the candidate of their choice by placing a kernel of corn in a jar labeled with the candidate's name.

Henry, age 11, wavered over to Warren's jar and teasingly contemplated casting a vote for the U.S. senator from Massachusetts.

Gillibrand gently moved Henry's hand up toward her own jar, where he eventually dropped his kernel and said, "She's pretty good. I'll vote for her."

Hm, I think I have to disagree with you. I think about a third of those kernels were thrown in by non-Hawkeyes.

Massive Biden surge on Saturday morning between 9am and noon:

Biden went from 23% to 26% in just 3 hours and received about 90% of the additional 3.000 votes that were cast in that time.

Did he bus his supporters to the kernel poll ?
