Maybe the closest thing we'll get to a straw poll this year.

Buttigieg at 12% = second wave of momentum???

You know it's not a scientific poll right?

It shouldn't have really even been posted in this part of the forum.

Old white people tend to like Buttigieg more than most so I'm not surprised he did relatively well.

That was shockingly close on the Dem side. Still a garbage methodology.

Next years results of the Iowa fair straw poll will be more important.

Trump beat Hillary by 11 points in August 2016 and by 10 in the election.

It's fair to say that the fairest candidate is gonna win this fair. And this year that distinction goes to Gillibrand.

He was in 2016, he's not exactly needed in 2020. I think same is with Biden, but he's the frontrunner, and (I think) large part of his backers back him for two things - for return to normalcy before Trump and just simply by default, like they did with HRC.

Pete, Kamala or even Warren are fresh faces in American politics and they haven't run for president, so some parts of the electorate are backing them, and not Biden or Sanders who are much, much known politicians and they once started for president - the "freshness factor" is out with these two older men, and I think that this factor plays a big role in Democratic primary.
