The poor person because just because I disagree with them on one issue doesn't mean that I lose all sympathy for them; I have no sympathy for rich people in basically any case unless it's something like they were abused as a kid.

Exactly. Feeling sympathy usually just ends up getting you hurt and taken advantage of.

You have to be extremely careful who you feel sympathy for.

I think your idea of sympathy is a lot simpler than it is in reality. Wealth and opinion on abortion doesn't necessarily mean I do or don't have sympathy for someone. I would have to know their full situations and traits. I could have sympathy for both or neither.
