He also messed up the order. El Paso ("Houston") was Saturday and Dayton was Saturday night/Sunday morning ("Michigan"). You can't make this stuff up.

Trump's mental lapse today is sure to get Biden's comment more play.

It’s trending on Twitter right now, but way below all the Trump stuff.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this type of stuff is necessarily indicative of cognitive decline? Biden has been well known for almost his entire career for being a "gaffe machine".

Oh, then by all means, please do show us your license to perform geriatric psychiatry, since you so obviously have one; at least, you make it seem as if you have one, based on the confidence with which you state that which you don't know.

In all seriousness, can people please stop talking out of their asses when it comes to this "age is showing/mental decline" crap? I'm 19 years old, so I would say I'm quite young, & even I sometimes slip over my own tongue in the midst of talking. It has less to do with age & more to do with just being human. God forbid we elect such a fallible beast to the Presidency of the United States.

It's not going to be a gaffe when Fox News and Trump get to it. It's going to be: "do we need a President with an expiration date!?"

Biden having this mess up during the general election will not be good, doesn't matter if he corrects himself later. Trump and the rightwing machine will hammer him for being an old demented mess even though Trump is worse. But y'all Biden supporters can continue to plug your ears.

Yeah cause Harris, Sanders, and Warren have nothing the GOP will use against them.

They've also got inherent pros. Warren/Sanders can rely on progressive turnout skyrocketing, Warren/Harris can rely on the female vote aching to get back at Trump.

What does Biden have exactly that Kerry/Gore/Hillary don't when that day of reckoning comes, when the Faux News Machine inevitably decides the guy is some kind of socialist-communist-whatever? The same chicken-sh*&-scared moderates that'll vote against Trump anyway?

“It’s not healthy having these games teaching kids...” and “It’s not in and of itself the reason....” means he considers video games apart of the problem but keep twisting his words to make him sound coherent.

Biden has struggled with stuttering throughout his whole life, it's nothing new:

As a current presidential candidate and former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden is required to speak in public at high-profile events more often than most. It’s no secret that Vice President Biden has struggled with a stutter throughout his life, but it makes it all the more impressive and inspiring that he has risen to the second-highest office you can possibly hold in the United States.

Biden leads Democrats as minorities favor most electable candidate versus Trump: Reuters/Ipsos poll

Quote
Joe Biden maintained his lead for the Democratic presidential nomination as minorities gravitated toward the former vice president and his top rival, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, in search of the safest bets for beating President Donald Trump in 2020, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The Aug. 1-5 public opinion poll, released on Wednesday, showed that 22% of Democrats and independents would vote for Biden, a level that is unchanged from a similar poll that ran last month. Another 18% said they supported Sanders, up 2 percentage points from the July poll.

Re: new Quinnipiac poll out today...
Biden's on track to win as long as he continues to be viewed as the most electable, and the left remains divided between Warren and Sanders. SC & NV look particularly good for him, and Super Tuesday will be fought on mostly friendly territory. IMHO California will be pivotal: if Biden comes 1st in CA, it's over for Warren/Sanders/Harris.

What does Biden have exactly that Kerry/Gore/Hillary don't when that day of reckoning comes, when the Faux News Machine inevitably decides the guy is some kind of socialist-communist-whatever? The same chicken-sh*&-scared moderates that'll vote against Trump anyway?

The other candidates you listed have "inherent cons" also. Saying that "progressive turnout skyrocketing," also means the "plummeting" of many moderates, some independents and some (few but some) Pubs who would otherwise vote for Biden.
The "female vote" is a tricky thing. Look what happened in 2016. Many men (and some women) admitted to their sexist views, and did not vote for Hillary simply because she was female.

And your "Faux News Machine" coming after Biden for any "socialist-communist-whatever" is silly. Yes they probably will attack him on such grounds, but it will be 2 to 3 times as bad if it were someone like Bernie or Warren. And why are you so concerned about Fox? They are garbage, and if tomorrow someone like Sen Jim DeMint (R-SC) or Sen Mike Lee (R-UT) decided to change to a "D," Fox would call them socialist/communist also.

IMO Biden is the presidential candidate least equipped for Trump's unique electoral skillset, and he has the potential to underperform massively.

See Biden's emotional message to grieving families.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden spoke in deeply personal terms about the family tragedies he has endured in an emotional reflection following two mass shootings in the US that have left at least 31 dead.

I saw this last night - he interviews well. I'd feel more confident in him if he was better at debates and on the trail. For me this is easily his best moment this year.

This is the kind of stuff that people want in times of grief and discord.  Biden is excellent at this (as was Clinton--who was a master of debates and on the trail as well).
