I think it will be  Roberts. I expect a 5-4 majority upholding the question. Next guess would be Alito as he has written the least opinions so far this term and they usually try to balance it.

I have a feeling it could be per curiam because the majority opinion’s writer might be a coward and want anonymity in such an embarrassing ruling, like in Bush v. Gore.

I expect it to most likely be Roberts, but only marginally so. Say 20% him, 10% each other justice. I can't see a per curiam unless we have an unlikely 9-0 decision.

It's possible we could get a delay due to the new evidence.

There will certainly be no delay in the ruling just because some MD judge is pissed off.

The SC will rule today, tomorrow or next week already because census forms have to be printed in early July.
