It's kind of hard to paint Biden as homophobic after he pushed for gay marriage in the Obama White House and officiated a same-sex wedding with a story from 1972. I'm confused as to what the goal of this story is.

Pretty simple: The ideological purists want to take down the candidate who is constantly leading their guy in the polls.

New rule: stop reporting on ANYTHING any candidate believed/said before 1990

That is a bizarre rule. Is expecting moral clarity and consistency of values really too much to ask of a candidate?
Joe Biden would rather stand with segregationist Dixiecrats and right wing Republicans who want to cut social spending before taking a stand for black people and poor working families. He is feckless and useless. Do not want.

Oh come on, your Biden hate gets kind of ridiculous.

Voters will forgive most things as long as the accused is repentant.

The idea Biden is a center-right Democrat is a joke lol , his views are no different really than Obama's and in many ways he helped push Obama to the left even on social issues during Obama's presidency.

A Center-Right Democrat is someone like 90s Bill Clinton, Sam Nunn, or Joe Manchin not Joe Biden

Biden even endorsed same-sex marriage publically before Obama did in 2012. These stories are only intended to sink him in the polls. Mostly to Sanders' benefit (even though Sanders himself has nothing to do with it).

It's funny to see some of you Democrats turn against Biden. He's the best chance you have to win next year.

Even on the Busing issue , people forget that Carter wasnt a fan of it either:

Quote
In the 1971 Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education ruling, the Supreme Court ruled that the federal courts had the discretion to include busing as a desegregation tool to achieve racial balance. While the Swann decision addressed de jure segregation in the South, it failed to address de facto segregation which persisted elsewhere in the country. In Georgia, Governor Jimmy Carter saw that Swann was "clearly a one-sided decision;

Democrats should support Biden if he's their personal favorite, or if they prefer his policies to others. That doesn't apply to a large number of Democrats here, so there's no reason the rest of us shouldn't support someone else. People shouldn't be stating constantly that he's the most electable or the only candidate who can beat Trump as if it's an established and indisputable fact. First of all, there's really no way to know such a thing this early, and the arguments supporting this idea don't really work so well if you look at recent elections. Biden might be left-wing if you believe people like Kasich and Rubio are "moderate", but he's pretty clearly to the right of the majority of Democrats running. And that's probably exactly why Republicans want him to be the nominee. They want the Overton Window to shift further to the right, which is what a center-left Democratic Party and an extreme far right Republican Party will do. The neocons of the 2000s, once seen as very far right, will be seen as the "center."

Don’t for get he voted for DOMA. But yeah when it was politically convenient he supported gay marriage

Additionally, I don't think he did anything to try to stop DADT, which Bernie voted against here in 1993.

LMAO

Unions crank it up for Biden launch

Quote
[...]

An early state organizer with knowledge of Biden’s strategy, said the campaign-in-waiting has for weeks began laying the groundwork to lure rank-and-file union members to his camp — even if their own union doesn’t formally endorse Biden in the primary.

“When you look at Secretary Clinton, the union leadership in the primary got behind her but at the average member level, there was not much excitement,” the organizer said. “In this case, I think the average member of the labor union is interested in supporting Joe Biden … looking at both for the primary and general, there’s going to be a lot of focus on getting support from both labor leadership and average labor members.”

[...]

Just goes to show that for all of the hand-waving we see from certain elements of the left that punchy progressive candidates aren't going to have any special advantages with organized labor
