Those bottom seven should all be dropped out by now if they had any self-awareness.

They never would've dropped in if they had any self-awareness.

It would be great TV for her to just show up at the debate and walk on the stage.

We could see a repeat of this:

I don't buy the argument that anyone is trying to rig anything against Gabbard. She's a fairly well-qualified candidate who has worked in the Democratic party for over a decade and a half. Unlike a Sanders-type candidate (who joins the party only to run in the primary), there's no real reason for anybody to be seeing her as a threat.

That being said, the DNC never announced in their polling criteria that the polls had to be of certain subgroups. Just like with Bullock, it seems like an unnecessary precaution against nothing and ends up making the party look bad for excluding candidates that should have been invited under the rules when they were announced.

She should just run third party at this point

Normally I'd be opposed to this, but I'm starting to think she might actually pull more votes from Trump than from any Dem candidate other than Sanders.

She needs to just switch to the Republican Party and start whining about how the Democratic Party left her. I have no doubt that she'll be Trump's Zell Miller when all is said and done.

Well, that'd make it her last term in Congress for sure, if nothing else...

She got 2% the ABC poll but it wasn't in the criteria they deemed to "count". Totally ridiculous. They are nit picking at this point. Clear butthurt that she damaged Harris politically.

No. Even if you think the worst about the DNC, there's no way they'd be screwing over 5-8 centrist candidates (most of whom have friends in the DNC) just to keep her out of the debate.

Then why wouldn't they count a poll she was at 2% at and it's on the list of qualifying polls? Why have there been remarkably few polls since the last debate?

You DNC bots are clueless. Stop defending party over country.

Yes, the DNC is totally rigging the process against a candidate who struggles to reach 2% in the polls Roll Eyes

Andrew Yang, Pete Buttigieg, and Julian Castro, two unknowns and one relative unknown before 2020, all made the debate. If she can't make the debate when those three could, that's on her.

Probably not, but they're not doing great optics-wise by blocking that ABC poll.

They've rigged the 2016 primaries, but right now you can't say that the DNC is rigging those primaries. In fact, they've taken the measures and learnt from their experiences in 2016.

This is like college basketball fans arguing over who should get the last spot in the tournament.  Lot's of righteous indignation over a team/candidate that stands absolutely no chance.

FWIW Gabbard is to insignificant for the DNC to worry about much less conspire against.

The DNC are being mean, but no more mean to her than to any other low-polling candidates. If she can't meet the requirements by October she doesn't deserve to be on the stage.

Yes, it's very obvious.

Almost as obvious as people from the Putin party stuffing ballot boxes and being caught on camera.

Why else would they use an adult sample where she's at 1% over a RV sample (2%) - where all pollsters agree that this is the more accurate sample to use for a primary.

The correct answer is: to keep her out of the next debate.

They're being overly nitpicky in general, which has hurt multiple candidates in the past (Bullock and Yang for example). Unfortunately for Gabbard, she got a good number in a sample that doesn't count because of the overall mindset of the DNC rulemakers.
