Here we go, an election where both parties have lots of options.

If it helps, here're the ones that won as a result

1. Dick Lugar
2. Harrison Schmitt
3. Malcolm Wallop
4. Orrin Hatch
5. S.I. Hayakawa

6. Howard Metzenbaum
7. Jim Sasser
8. Daniel Patrick Moynihan
9. Paul Sarbanes

As for me, my vote is going to be very obvious, but I'll add instead that I'm glad Tunney got booted, and if I had to pick GOP, I'd be most satisfied if the one that didn't bow to Agnew got saved.

Buckley. But I’d try to save Taft if Buckley wasn’t an option.

I'll also interject that if Moss weren't an option, I'd save Hartke.

Easily Buckley, although Moynihan was a great Senator as well.

Buckley would be the one I wouldn't save, especially considering who succeeded him.

Buckley, followed by Taft. The ‘76 NY senate race is a damn shame since both nominees were so great.

Hartke was one of the more prominent opponents of the Vietnam war, so him.
