As if every other candidate didn't immediately start waving the peace pipe at Booker and trying to poach his staff and endorsements.

All the candidates who wanted that youth/enthusiasm/fresh face lane are just salty that Pete stole their thunder.

I'll say this for Buttigieg's campaign: they are proactive as hell in reaching out to elected party officials. I've been getting new policy proposal emails on almost a daily basis:

... before casting your votes (for the first time).

Buttigieg's health care plan would save money while Warren and Sanders plans would cost trillions, analysis finds.

If I wanted to vote for a candidate Concerned About the National Debt, there's a whole other party that's made that their line for decades.

You're talking about a $1.7 trillion business tax increase to make the Buttigieg plan look attractive.       With the current tax laws, how will you get that to work?

Buttigieg's health care plan would save money do nothing to change the monstrosity that is the US healthcare system.

This kind of "#analysis" is the most vapid nonsense surrounding healthcare - though it's a preview of exactly what would happen in a single-payer discussion: arguing that it's better for Americans to spend gobs more on healthcare through private expenditures rather than saving tons by funding it through government taxes and a single-payer system.

Quote
"Buttigieg's plan would reduce the deficit [but allow private healthcare costs to continue to skyrocket by more than the deficit savings]!"

"Warren and Sanders have plans that would add to the deficit and collect taxes [but save more than the deficit increases in consumer expenditures]!"

Pete sent an email last night accusing Bernie Sanders surrogates of using dark money and surrogates to go after his opponents in Iowa. Here is the fundraising email

Buttigieg supporters are trolling Sanders supporters with this tweet

The Sanders campaign is using a Pete Buttigieg essay praising Bernie Sanders stances on issues and policies. Supporters are even leaving the essays in coffee shops around New Hampshire and Iowa. David Sirota and Chuck Rocha have been using this as a way to contrast how Pete behaves himself.

Please, Tender Bredesen, tell us more about why people don't deserve health care while also explaining why blackface is good and which women are sexy enough to be in Pete's cabinet.

You guys really need to stop claiming Buttigieg is self-destructing every time he says some perfectly normal thing.

Do you really think Buttigieg doesn't know this?

The fact that people are acting like this makes me support him even more. At this point, the Berniebros have ran out of straws to grasp and are swiping at thin air.

It shouldn't be used against him politically but he should be mocked over this. This was embarrasing in every way possible.

Was calling a basketball hoop a "ring" what cost Ted Cruz the election?

If true, he screwed us all. If he managed to win the primary and get nominated I am fairly confident that Clinton would have beat him, "scandals" and all.

South Bend is a world distinct from Indiana that is 100 percent centered on football. It's akin to my baseball-centric family talking about going to the basketball stadium rather than basketball arena.

Not when discussing the NBA

It's pretty commonly used when discussing the behavior of an athlete, regardless of their sport.

But why not say "on the court and off the court"? I mean, I follow basketball about as much as I follow astrology, but even I know who Kobe Bryant was and what sport he played.

I don't think this is major, but it is an unforced error.
