Stop, it's already dead!!! I get that this is airheaded, but throwing policies out during a primary is not supposed to be a serious exercise that requires legitimate evaluation prior to election. How is literally everyone throwing a burn at this? What did Liz start in this endless series of less and less serious proposals?

Warren's proposals despite being economically sh**t actually make coherent sense.

That sentence is a complete contradiction of its self.

Nice take by Kyle Kulinski on the hypocrisy and BS of CNN airing a full 12-minute Kamala Harris ad as "news".

Kulinski is nothing but a Sanders shill. Him along with TYT and Sam Seder think that anything that doesn’t involve something positive about Bernie is just the establishment out to destroy him... so not much different from atlas.

So KamalaCare is getting a lot of praise from policy and healthcare experts... but this is Atlas, it’s forbidden to talk good about the “cop”.

They'll never give her credit for anything.

Also, anybody bringing up the "she's a cop" routine is an idiot. Being President is completely different than being a prosecutor. She has pledged to reform our unjust criminal justice system if elected President and based on her voting record so far in the Senate, I believe that she will.

Also, she's been laying out some good policy proposals but they've been getting mostly ignored.

Do people really think calling her a cop hurts her? LEO are incredibly popular second only to military in respected fields to the public. Law & Order candidates routinely win elections with DAs and AGs often ascending to higher office.

Kamala just proved herself an economically illiterate with this proposal.. thinking it will raise 1.2 trillion. LOL.

The problem with these revenue estimates... 60% of all trading today is high frequency trading. They make 0.01% on a trade. Kamala taxing 0.20% will not gain any revenue from them. You can be sure.

The rest of the institutions will simply move to London or Frankfurt and trade Apple ADRs or Apple future contracts there. No revenue for Kamala.

The only ones left holding the bag are mom and pops who can't move to London. Poor Kamala.

Honestly i find it amusing that she’s being attacked from both the left and the right simultaneously.
Bernies team are being extra but to bernies credit he was gracious, he said Kamala is my friend and made his point, no personal attacks. Biden’s been acting entitled so it’s amusing to see the architects of Obama care endorsing her plan over his.
Her spokesperson reiterated that she still supports bernies bill, just like Bernie supporters Brian Schwartz bill that he cosponsored. He also said her plan is a result of listening to people she’s met on the campaign trail.

Harris with another ridiculous plan. She is a terrible candidate.

Her new Medicare for all, apart from preserving private insurance, would take 10 years. 10 years. So even if she wins re-election & serves for 8 years, she would not be able to implement Medicare for all over 2 terms & would leave it in the hands of the next President.

The plan is realistic, unlike Bernie's. You can't immediately, and safely, eliminate private insurance with a signature on a piece of legislation. Something as radical (by American standards) as Medicare for all is something that needs to be taken in over time. Her plan is pragmatic and smart and should be well received by the electorate.

Harris also clearly states on her issues webpage that anybody will be able to immediately buy into Medicare once the legislation passes.

Let's not forget that the plan she, or Warren, or Sanders supports has to also be supported by people like Sinema, Tester, and Manchin. And the fact that 70% of Americans support M4A w/ private insurance shows that her plan would have an easier time passing congress than Warren's or Sanders'. She's politically smart and that's another thing Atlas loves to forget about when it comes to her. Plus, her policies have been great. LIFT, clean water, rape kit backlog, universal pre-k, and now a progressive healthcare policy that potentially has the support of nearly 70% of Americans? Those are fantastic. But apparently her policies suck because her team poorly communicated one policy that related to student debt and people misunderstood its broader purpose.

I'm not the biggest Kamala Harris fan by any means but I actually think her healthcare plan is feasible and arguably the best one yet among 2020 Dems. I really like the longer implementation window.

Kathleen Sebelius literally endorsed KamalaCare and said it would expand upon the ACA right after Biden said it would destroy it. Big oof.

You didn’t read the details I see. The plan will have universal coverage and Medicare for everyone who want it within 4 years.

This.

And Obama said Medicare for All was a good idea 10 months ago. Biden needs to shut up and drop out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sebellius personally helped Harris craft the policy.

My personal thoughts on the policy aside - the KamalaCare policy is horrible politics. It's gonna get roasted by the progressive left as extremely status quo - a 10-year implementation window all for private health insurers to still dominate the game. Gabbard, Sanders, and Warren delegates are going to make that a hill to die on.

It's very symbolic of a recurring issue in her campaign. She seems to be coming across as a progressive, but all of her policies have this underlying stench of 1990s, status-quo, establishment Democratic Party policies which won't work nor are wanted by most Americans.

It's private insurance in a sense, but it's still Medicare, which means people will have to give up their current insurance and have privately run Medicare plans instead.  So it will still be a hard sell for people who like their current plans well enough.
