If you want a fun mental image, imagine someone doing this at a Trump rally. Even Pre-Presidency, no Secret Service. Person would not leave the stage alive.

People of different backgrounds attempt protests like this all the time. It's silly to fixate on the protestor's penis rather than his tactics, unless you actually believe that the acceptability of grabbing a mic varies based on a person's identity.

The discussion in this thread has come full circle to being mostly reactions against the initial and highly tendentious characterization of this being about "men silencing women of color" or whatever self-flagellating nonsense you were peddling in your post for intersectionality points.

A woman was nearly assaulted on stage and you’re more concerned about your narrative... ok.

What happened to Bernie was a lot closer to assault.

I'm not super interested in deciding which was worse but I find The Discourse™ around this troubling. Yes there's some obvious irony in the situation but I find it frustrating and imprecise how it's being characterized by many (but not all) people as an exclusively gendered and racialized behavior when the most recent other example of something like this had both dynamics mixed. That's somehow being left out of this discussion and that's kinda bullsh**t.

I'm generally pro-intersectionality but every once in a while people launch complaints that are idiotic and lack perspective. This was one such instance.

I haven't seen anyone defend this guy. I saw a lot of people defending "Outside Agitators 206".

When you start peddling a narrative, and then other people call you out for it, you don't get to then accuse them of peddling a narrative themselves.

I love it how Doug Emhoff, Harris' husband, takes the mic away from the protester. Great guy who defends his wife, I would have done the same.

All Harris had to do is show plight of the poor by touring more homeless areas and going on local CA TV talking about. Feinstein has said nothing and Newsom isnt as bad Feinstein. SF homelessness has dominated news in California

How does it help Harris to illustrate to the rest of the nation that her home state is a cesspool of homelessness and poverty?

That's a terrible thing to say about California.

And what do both of your statements tell you? California is #1 among income and wealth inequality.

It's also #1 for poverty when taking into account cost of living. And a majority of the hard homeless are in California.

I don't know why you keep saying that, she has no interest in being Veep. She clearly says she will return to Senate if she isnt the nominee

But you said Harris would lose to Trump. Why do you want the two frontrunners to be thuse you called 'least electable'? Would you go to Bernie?

The polls showed a complete landslide for Biden, even winning TX, NC and AZ, 400 vote landslide. I didn't commission the polls..

This gaffe will hurt Biden

Harris is literally the only candidate, who if she was the nominee, would actually make me vote for Trump.

That's why I think she's going to surge after the debates. She's never dull on stage.
