I think it will be Kamala, but I'd be fine with Rice and Whitmer as well. Rice's so-called baggage is overblown; she's a talented political operator and has a good relationship with him. She'd be a loyal number two who can help govern.

Rice never campaigned for anything in her life, and Biden of all people doesn't need to balance the ticket with "foreign relations experience", ffs.

The pick should be an experienced politician with bigger exposure than a congressional district, and frankly the choice is between Harris and Duckworth.

Which makes complete sense.  There is no point in building up this much excitement and then having the announcement (text) and the event (speech, introduction) on the same day.  I'm guessing we'll get the text sometime today and the event tomorrow.  In between will be a buildup to the announcement, speech itself.  They are trying to maximize the media coverage of this whole thing.
