I like the guy a lot and would vote for him but I am not sure dems are smart enough to nominate him. I also like Gabbard and Brown.

He's a Kasich, but for Dems. There's little chance the Democratic Party as a whole will nominate someone as moderate as Ojeda.

Yes and this will be the map:

Democrats need to abandon their base and go after voters who haven't voted for them in 20 years.

Ojeda isn’t a moderate...

Out of those three you mentioned, I'd prefer Brown. He would really help in the Rust Belt.

No way.  I like him, but he voted for Trump, and is therefore dead on arrival.

Here are the main problems he will probably encounter:

-He voted for Trump. Although that shouldn't be disqualifying by itself, it would subject him to grilling on this subject compared to most other candidates.
-His stance on environmental issues is not yet clear, and conventional wisdom suggests that someone from his region would likely be less pro-environment than the average Democrat.
-He is rather hawkish on issues relating to the military/foreign wars. Most progressive base voters prefer reduced military involvement overseas in exchange for increased domestic spending.

He should challenge Jim Justice or run for Senate in 2024

Ojeda would be an amazing nominee. I love that guy. I would vote for him. I'm really an old school democrat who can't stand the modern party. I loathe the direction Obama took the party in.

I try to be cautious about predicting anything about this election, so early on, but I do feel confident in saying, with 100% certainty, that he will not be the nominee.

Great map, but why would Ojeda lose a WWC state like PA, you neoliberal shill?

Because I live in the superior region of the state (Philadelphia), and we coastal elitists will rig the vote against angry coal workers in southwest PA. Bucks/Montco/Delco/Chester will all vote for Jeb! over Ojeda.
