Although I disagree with some views of Sahra Wagenknecht, I cannot deny she is attractive

Aw, more people to carry Tender’s mantle.

Why is Laschet even a candidate? My only memory of the CDU leadership contest between him and Söder was that Söder seemed like the strongest, base-appealing candidate. Was that wrong, and he was seen as a good candidate at the time but has since unraveled, or what?

Scholz’s preferred chancellor leads are insane. When are the attacks going to start coming?

Against the expressed wishes of his party chairman Laschet (who wanted to postpone the ballot in case he needed the position himself as a backup career plan) CDU/CSU caucus leader Ralph Brinkhaus is planning the get re-elected today. This is widely interpreted as sign that nobody in the CDU gives a f**k anymore about what Laschet wants.

How’s Laschet gonna be caucus leader if he’s not in the caucus? Did that ever pan out?

According to numerous reports, Laschet hints that he is willing to retire or resign from his position as CDU leader.

shocking.

Would this have any impact on government formation and/or would it just guarantee an SPD-led government?

Apparently, the program of the future coalition want to abolish coal energy. I'm surprised FDP accept this insanity.

Abolishing coal AND nuclear in an heavy industrial country is...interesting.

Good news for French and Italian industries.

And good news for russian diplomacy.

What do you think should be done about climate change while keeping coal?
