Initially I didn't realize I would be called Battista by everyone on the forum and when I started being referred to as such I found it kind of awful but now I think it slays.

I have realized in this exact moment that Del Tachi's name is most likely a play on words on Delta Chi (ΔΧ). I am feeling kinda stupid for this.
Kinda felt like this when I realized BRTD (probably) stands for Better Red Than Dead about a month ago.
I didn’t know either of these, and I’ve been here for five years.

I have a cell phone number from a swing state I haven't lived in in years and just got a call to be polled for the presidential election.  They didn't want to continue when they found out I didn't live there.

Everytime I think the level of discourse here is low, twitter always take it to a whole new level of low

I swear to God at least half the people on there have oatmeal for brains.

ps. Using ALL CAPS serves no purpose other than to irritate others and make yourself look like an unhinged Karen. It does not drive home your point.

I just had a mental episode because I'm panicking over my upcoming Calculus Exam.

So that was fun. Not.

Luckily even though I only understand like 60% of the stuff that's gonna be on this, I'm reasonably sure that's better than most people in this class who barely show up. Exams are on a curve too.

I got an 86.

Maybe if you hadn't slacked off they wouldn't have escaped in the first place.

She’s the greatest wife. Her teeth are falling out all the time. And Jackie is the most petite person I’ve ever known. I love her more than life itself. She loves bagels more than bialys. She loves bialys more than me. She tells me all the time that I look like Marcus Aurelius. She laughs and says: “I like you too, bitch.”

I just got mask shamed by some old fat bag in the gas station. She started yelling at some older black guy for being too close to her, then turned her fire on me for using my mask as "a chin-strap" and that "nobody wants to see your nose."

I didn't have enough time to come up with a funny response, so I just said "the virus is fake. It's one giant fake!" to piss her off. She made a face and then asked the cashier (who is my buddy) for Marlboro Blacks and then started bellyaching at him because the special they had on Marlboro Blacks was over.

I'm 90% sure the new neighbors are political migrants from Oregon. They intentionally park their cars on the curb because they think people going 25 mph on a suburban street is too much for their kids playing in the front yard (only in the front yard, not in their big backyard). At one point the woman was staring ahead while her kids were playing, to watch for anyone daring to go 26/mph past her cars or walk on the sidewalk nearby or something. The neighbors next to them are the local far-right Trumpists.

I'm really worried about my home state going for Trump in a Biden small landslide. I can't deny that I would take it very badly, far worse than a horse race scenario where Biden wins with competitive races in WI/PA. I've never lived anywhere besides here and I've always said that we're the most underrated state in the nation despite our decaying cities, but if Trump wins then maybe we really are just a worthless dump. Devoid of culture besides redneck style BS and memories of a bygone age that boomers grew up in.

I want to believe that we're better than that, that we still have that spark of normal decent people. Texas and other states considered Lean or Safe R during the Bush/Obama eras have an excuse: they have larger populations of inelastic Republicans of very conservative or reactionary subcultures. I don't expect a rancher from northwest Texas to suddenly vote Biden because of COVID-19, they will always vote R because they have always voted R and always will. If Ohio votes for Trump again it will be because normal people decided to vote for him, to believe his lies over their own eyes, or because they transformed from normal people into minions and dare I say degenerates. Or perhaps because so many working class people continue to leave the husks of the CLE-AKR metro I'm from for more opportunity elsewhere, like my therapist who moved to Colorado Springs, leaving us with the double decker of Trumpist detritus and generic hard conservatives.

Indiana, Missouri, and other states have an excuse, persuadeables are outnumbered by Safe R voters. West Virginia has an excuse, no Democratic base left. Ohio has no excuse. Biden has put policy aside in favor of contrasting himself with the insanity of Trump. We must choose good over evil. We cannot fall to evil without becoming evil.

Feeling artsy for the first time in a while.

It’s dark burgundy red. Perfect color for me and it only cost a dollar!

After years of retreat from the world, I’ve finally gotten some employment after time off. It won’t set me free, but it’s going to get me some mule-la to start going clubbing maybe.

I know thread size limits aren't a requirement on here anymore, but in keeping with how these megathreads have been handled (as well as this thread's namesake), gonna be moving forward to Season VIII. 100 pages feels like a reasonable cutoff.
