I’m shocked I was name-checked firsts on this since I’m probably to the right of the median Atlas Republican (and Atlas Republicans are to the left of the median Democrat in the country). I’m just a as much a Republican as Rick Scott is, per my registration.

You are not right to most Atlas Republicans

And lmao at them being to the left of the media Democrat.

Just because you’re a Democrat in denial doesn’t make what I said not true.

Correct, many, many other things make it untrue. Smiley

EDIT: People should pick whatever avatar they want.  Since the avatar is a cool, unique feature of this forum, my personal opinion is that it's cooler when people use that avatar to indicate either 1) how they are registered in real life or 2) what party/lack of party they identify with in real life (i.e., the socialist avatar is dumb, IMO).  I think other uses of "false flag" or whatever-the-hell are kind of pointless and lame, but I don't understand how anyone could really care, LOL.

Who's to say what everyone's motives are.  Is Old School a false flag for trying to promote the idea that Rs were ever fiscally responsible or is he merely wrong?

Badger is only a Republican because he wants a judgeship or some other appointment in a heavily Republican area. Kind of weird, but understandable.

The rest have no real excuse.

LMAO ok lets go issue by issue

Healthcare- Democrats support Single Payer , most Atlas Republicans are basically I believe for Obamacare ( So the Dems are way to the left)

Taxes- the Median Democrat supports raising taxes, most Atlas Republicans don't

Economic Policy in General: Most Atlas Republicans are in support of Supply-side economics, the median democrat not only supports opposes supply-side economics but they are moving in a socialist direction.

Immigration: Most Atlas Republicans are basically where John McCain was on the issue, the media dem is way to the left of that

Trump: While many Atlas Republicans oppose him it is due to his behavior more than due to his policies while the Median Democrats opposes him due to both.

I never said they were fiscally responsible and I have attacked them many times on the issue of military spending

Some could say this of me, as I am likely to vote for more Democrats than Republicans this year (for parochial reasons).

...like me; a Republican supporting Bill Nelson.

Why are you supporting Nelson? Even if you don't like Scott for whatever reason; how can you, given the views that you have, think anything good would come out of Democrats taking back the Senate?

Nelson is one of the more moderate and reasonable Democrats, and Scott is morally unfit for public office.  I cannot bring myself to vote for someone who, in a deposition, took the Fifth Amendment 75 times.

A political convention cheered, "LOCK HER UP!" about Hillary Clinton.  What should be said about a man who took the Fifth Amendment 75 times in a deposition surrounding an investigation into the most massive Medicare fraud in history, at a company Scott was CEO of?

If you ask yourself "What would Jesus do?" I'm pretty sure the answer wouldn't be "defraud Medicare for billions of dollars."

Scott was never implicated in that in any way.

Scott was never even indicted for that

So defrauding Medicare for billions of dollars is fine as long as you're not indicted for it. Sounds legit.

At least Fuzzy Bear actually seems to genuinely believe a lot of his religious principles, unlike Thomas from NJ who only trots them out when convenient as a cudgel to use against his political opponents.

No but there is no proof that he was responsible for that.

So what we should take into account is that he was a good governor and since he was he should be elected

You don't have to vote for either of them, though. You can write someone in.

It makes some sense for Fuzzy Bear to support Democrats because his positions on healthcare and labor unions (of course not considering other issues here) are better suited for the Democrats than the Republicans especially in a race like this where the GOP nominee has a history medicare fraud.

OPEN SCENE: REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS, WHERE GRABD CEREMONY IS TAKIBG PLACE. BADGER HAS JUST WALKED UP AISLE AND SYMBOLICALLY KNELT BEFORE THE GOP LEADERSHIP

Governor Kasich: ah, Mr Badger, your loyalty to the Republican Party known no bounds, even in these troubled times. It is my pleasure to bestow upon you the esteemed role of Chief Flower Arranger of the Great State of Ohi-

Gatecrasher, bursting in the doors: this man is a fraud! [Theatrically gestures towards badger] He has just changed his avatar from blue to red on Dave Leips US Election Atlas Forum

Kasich: [wobbles arms angrily] you DISGUST me badger. Leave now. Never come back.

Just ignore the color of the avatar and focus on the text in a post. Relying on a short cut for much of anything like an asserted party affiliation, is kind of lazy isn't it? Given the dazzling array of colors around here, I actually get kind of confused by it all in any event.

It's pretty clear from his posts that he's not a Republican. Also all of his endorsements are for Democrats so yeah definitely a troll

Well, I could say the same thing about RINO Tom and Badger, yet people here still think they're more representative of the average Republican than Reaganfan is...
