The next ones in the House leadership for the Democrats (after Pelosi, Hoyer, Clyburn) seem to be:

Linda Sánchez, born '69, elected '02, champion of more progressive taxation and full campaign finance disclosure and closing the gunshow loophole and gay rights and ending tax breaks for big oil
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_S%C3%A1nchez

Ben Ray Luján, born '72, elected '08, champion of a public option and complete withdrawal from Afghanistan during those fights
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Ray_Luj%C3%A1n

I wonder if they'll get as much presidential speculation as boring crusty Crowley? Tongue

Lujan is probably worse than Crowley.

Given that he said to a donor concerned over Warren and Sander's attack on Wall Street that Sanders and Warren don't represent the views of the party, I'd be inclined to agree.

The DCCC has been pretty awful, wasting tons of money on Ossoff while losing interest when a progressive gets the nomination. And he has a more conservative voting record than Crowley.

Hehe. Classy response, at least. I’m surprised too, though I was fine with either candidate

Justice dems are walking into the bar thinking that they are the hot cr@p. Let's show them up tonight just like we have been doing.
This aged well.

Yeah, I will admit, it aged pretty badly, h$ll, almost as badly as Jan Brewer.

Though she's a little too far to the left for my tastes, I see no problem with Ocasio's victory. Crowley, by all accounts, was an establishment hack, and he ran a poor campaign. Plus, this is New York, which is notorious for its corrupt machine politics. So for the Democratic Party, this was probably a good thing.

This. She deserved this win, and Crowley definitely deserved this loss.
