I'm just going to assume that, as always, he is lying.

When has Trump not attempted to follow through on any of his promises?

Healthcare?

If he does, I can hardly wait to see how many knots the right will tie themselves in coming up with reasons to support his action.

He was ONE VOTE AWAY lol. It did not change his intention to keep the promise.

His promise wasn't to knock millions off of healthcare. That's not what he ran on, and that's what that bill was. Thank you for proving my point.

Agree.
This should be interesting to see (if it ever happens).

Trump promised to fix the dreamers, promised to protect Medicare and Medicaid, promising to introduce new gun laws etc etc etc. You’re being dense if you trust Trumps word

What’s funnier is not seeing one single left-leaning user thank Trump for supporting this.

Why should they?
Is this what you want to hear: Thank you trump for more emphysema and lung cancer. All very fantastic, positive attributes we want with our health. Making America great again with various forms of lung disease.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing.
Those two are on two different worlds, and why Sessions takes all the abuse, I don't know.
The man is going to have zero dignity after all the trump-era bs, quickly evaporates.

>Healthcare reform introduced.
>Trump supports that healthcare reform, as he promised.
>Senate narrowly votes against healthcare reform.

How in the hell is this Trump not attempting to follow through on his promise?

Either way, Trump WILL sign the weed bill if it’s handed to him, and I will support it (along with a very large number of Republicans)

This is so disingenuous that it's not even worth answering. And okay, lol 👌🏼

I agree that Trump should sign the bill.  I agree that some folks who have long wanted this are being a bit disingenuous.  (I knew hippies who rejoiced when Nixon abolished the draft.)

That being said, I agree with those who think he's doing this to anger Sessions into quitting.  That's how Trump works.

I doubt they'll care much. It's not a hot button like guns or race anymore.

Occam's Razor takes on a new form with Trump. Rather than it being the simplest explanation that is the most likely, it's the pettiest explanation for why Trump does something. It's Trump's Razor.

This would be a good policy move and pretty much guarantees that he wins in 2020, but I can never shake my skepticism of his motives and his ability to keep his promises.

Actually, skinny repeal passed when it was coupled with the tax bill.
