"All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That's an entitlement." - Mitt Romney

There is a grievance culture of dependence out there and "both sides" do it, but are all Democrats poor people who are tired and cranky all the time and can't make any money on their own and are all Republicans racists who are too dumb to get jobs in fast growing industries?

no, not all of them. I imagine most of those sorts of people who are politically active though, broke for Obama 2012 and Trump 2016

The median Republican voter and the median Democratic voter both are more educated and wealthier than the average American just because poorer people vote much less. Sure, Republicans generally are wealthier than Democrats while Democrats generally are more educated (in the age of Trump) but non-voters are much poorer and less-educated than both Republicans and Democrats. You could argue that both Republicans and Democrats represent different groups of wealthy (and educated) people. The '47%' doesn't really influence elections since they just don't turn out.

The idea that anyone would not be entitled to food, housing and healthcare is absolutely insane.

That would make zero sense considering 90% of Obama voters voted for Clinton and 90% of Romney supporters voted for Trump.
