I think the general idea is correct - that Trump doesn't care much for the rule of law and has always seen himself as better than it, and he has said things that suggest he believes that he, as president, is above it and untouchable. Ironically, he didn't think the same of Obama, but that is how Trump thinks. He doesn't understand what hypocrisy and double standards are when he is the focus. His brain doesn't work like that. Or, rather, he does understand, but doesn't care.

Not quite. The pic in the mirror is fine, but the Trump looking into the mirror should be nude, as Emperor Trump has no clothes.

I get your point, but I don't want to see Trump in the nude - ever. Thank you.

Trump wants to be Emperor, not king. And thepicture fails to reflect his fundamental stupidity and incompetence. Trump is not simply A Man Who Would Be King. He is Idiot Caesar.

What is this in reference to?  Trump's recent predecessors have all pushed the envelope when it comes to executive power, so I don't see how he is unique in that regard, aside from him being more brash and bold about it, and more transparently self-interested.

It’s almost like members of Congress should act like a coequal branch instead of hobnobbing with lobbyists and braying on cable news

Inaccurate in the sense of him seeking to be a literal monarch, but accurate about being the most despotic and dictatorial leader in the industrialized West and currently  the most contemptuous of democratic norms (in the old sense, republican values).  Literally incorrect, but symbolically this is highly accurate.

Better a constitutional monarch than a fascist dictator.

Trump probably doesn't know how to play checkers therefore his familiarity with that phrase is unlikely.

To compare Trump’s corruption to Congress’s corruption is like comparing tic tac toe to quantum chess.
